GOD IS HERE

Isaiah 40:1-12

Isaiah 40:9b

            It’s ordinary in the lives of all humans that difficult moments appear that make our faith and hope in God weaken. Such confrontation can either spur or destroy our spiritual life. We must be convinced that we are not alone, and that God is among us and always present.

            This passage from Isaiah speaks to us of the difficult situation that the Israelites experienced during their captivity in Babylon, a hard time of trials, but in the end  God always liberates and assists his people in the worst of situations. “Console my people” is the call to be consolers, spiritually accompanying the people who most need us, who urgently need assistance and help in the midst of their tribulations. God is infinite mercy, and doesn’t put any to the test, but rather accompanies us in the midst of them.   

            Let us seek God through prayer, the tool to have a true communion with our Lord. Let us turn to discernment and discover what God’s will is by reading the Bible. The prophets were pursued but assisted and sustained by God. Let us maintain our hope in that God so great that we have, and who, like a good shepherd, feeds his flock.

 

Prayer: Lord and God of love and mercy, we give you infinite thanks for your presence in our lives, especially in the midst of our problems. Give us strength when we’re weak and make us depend on you. We ask for your help and company. In Christ Jesus, our savior. Amen.

DIOS ESTA AQUI

Isais 40:1-12

…¡ved aquí al  Dios vuestro!

Isaías 40:9b

            En las vidas de todos los seres humanos suelen aparecer momentos difíciles que hacen que nuestra fe y esperanza en Dios se debilite. Tal confrontación puede hacer crecer nuestra vida espiritual o destruirla. Debemos estar convencidos de que no estamos solos y que Dios está en medio nuestro, está presente siempre.

            Este pasaje del profeta Isaías nos habla de la situación difícil que atravesó el pueblo de Israel en su cautiverio en Babilonia, tiempo duro de pruebas, pero que al final Dios siempre libera y ayuda a su pueblo en las peores situaciones. ¡Consolad a mi pueblo!, es el llamado a ser consoladores, acompañando espiritualmente a las personas que más nos necesitan, que les urge una asistencia y ayuda en medio de sus tribulaciones. Dios es misericordia infinita y no pone ninguna prueba, sino que nos acompaña en medio de estas.

            Busquemos a Dios por medio de la oración, herramienta para tener una verdadera comunión con nuestro Señor. Acudamos al discernimiento y descubramos cuál es la voluntad de Dios mediante la lectura de la Biblia. Los profetas fueron perseguidos, pero ayudados y sustentados por Dios. Mantenemos nuestra esperanza en ese Dios tan grande que tenemos y que como buen pastor apacienta su rebaño.

 

Oración: Señor y Dios de amor y misericordia, infinitas gracias te damos por tu presencia constante en nuestras vidas, en especial en medio de nuestros problemas. Danos la fuerza cuando somos débiles, y haznos depender de ti. Te pedimos tu ayuda y compañía. Por Cristo Jesús, nuestro salvador. Amén.
