LORD, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

Habakkuk 1:1-3

O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not listen?

Habakkuk 1:2 (NRSV)

            There are times when pain and suffering take over our minds and oppress our hearts. It is exactly this state of despair that we experience when we decide to cry out to God and get no answer. The good news is that yes, God is listening to us. Be it by our shouting, murmuring, speaking or thinking, God knows exactly all that we are feeling and all that is happening to us. God weeps at our side, dries our tears, sustains our life and, when we think that we are falling apart, extends his hand through the hands of others to offer us help and lights a lamp in the midst of darkness.

            As long as necessary, let us shout, pray, and clamor to God, because when God’s people pray, marvelous things happen. Let’s place our hope in the Holy Spirit which allows us to move ahead and fills us with strength in the most difficult times of our lives.

 

Prayer: Lord, fill me with patience, wisdom, and peace in the midst of this life’s torments. Help me to overecome my problems and remain present in them according to your will. Amen.

¡NO PUEDO MAS, SEÑOR!

Habacuc 1:1-3

Señor, ¿hasta cuándo gritaré pidiendo ayuda sin que tú me escuches?

Habacuc 1:2

            Hay momentos en que el dolor y el sufrimiento se apoderan de nuestras mentes y oprimen el corazón. Y es precisamente en este estado de tristeza en que decidimos gritar a Dios en nuestras oraciones y no escuchamos respuesta. La buena noticia es que Dios sí nos escucha. Gritemos o susurremos, hablemos o pensemos, Dios sabe exactamente todo lo que sentimos y por todo lo que estamos pasando. Dios llora a nuestro lado, seca nuestras lágrimas, sostiene nuestra vida cuando pensamos que nos derrumbamos, extiende su mano en otras manos para ofrecernos ayuda, y enciende la luz en medio de la oscuridad.

            Mientras sea necesario gritemos, oremos y clamemos a Dios, porque cuando el pueblo de Dios ora suceden cosas maravillosas. Depositemos nuestras esperanzas en el Espíritu Santo que nos permite seguir adelante y nos llena de fortaleza en los momentos más difíciles en nuestras vidas.

 

Oración: Lléname Señor de paciencia, sabiduría y paz en medio de las tormentas de la vida. Ayúdame a superar los problemas y hazte presente en ellos según tu voluntad. Amén.
