WHERE DO YOU LOOK FOR SUPPORT?

Matthew 7:24-27

Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.

On whom do you rely when you most need it?

The strong rains and battering winds of the real problems we experience in our lives often strike us with great force.

Many fall helplessly in the face of the fury and threat of pandemics, scarcity, unemployment, disease, natural disasters, wars and violence.

It’s hard because we don’t want to see our lives broken down and destroyed. Is there any hope?

In today’s text Jesus speaks to us about a wise man who built his house on a rock and a fool who built on sand. We already know the outcome. What have you built your house on, the rock or sand? Following the divine teaching revealed in His Word is the only sure foundation in the midst of this world.

 

Prayer: Lord, my house does not fall because it is built on rock. You are the Rock, my Rock of salvation. Amen.

¿DONDE BUSCAS APOYO?

Mateo 7:24-27

Cualquiera, pues, que me oye estas palabras y las hace, lo compararé a un hombre prudente que edificó su casa sobre la roca

¿En quién te apoyas cuando más lo necesitas?

Las fuertes lluvias y los fuertes vientos de los problemas actuales que vivimos están golpeando con gran fuerza muchas vidas.

Muchos caen sin poder hacer nada ante la furia y la amenaza de pandemias, la escasez, el desempleo, las enfermedades, desastres naturales, guerras y violencias.

Es duro porque no queremos ver nuestras vidas derribadas y destruidas. ¿Habrá esperanza?

En el texto de hoy Jesús nos habla sobre un hombre prudente el cual construyó su casa sobre la roca, y otro insensato que lo hizo sobre la arena. El final ya lo conocemos. ¿Sobre qué estas edificando tu casa: sobre la roca o sobre la arena? Seguir la enseñanza divina revelada en su Palabra es el único fundamento seguro en medio de este mundo.

 

Oración: Mi casa no se cae, Señor, porque está edificada sobre la roca. Tú eres la Roca, mi Roca de salvación. Amén.
