KNOW GOD IN YOUR CRISES

Matthew 8:23-27

And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, you of little faith?”

Matthew 8:26a (NRSV)

The storm is the major moment to describe God’s reality, to discover that He is present there to protect you from the storm winds that batter your boat, to discover that He is there to hear your cries and to offer you his help, to discover that He is there to calm the storm in the needed moment if you will but place your faith in Him.

So he cries out just as his disciples cried out in the midst of that great storm. The storm will pass and I assure you that you will not be the same if you but trust Him.

Trusting doesn’t imply that there are no doubts or fears, but the divine promise always arrives with these words that comfort: Do not be afraid.  And there is the promise of his present companionship forever, every day, until the end of the world.

 

Prayer: My good Jesus, help me to have enough confidence and faith in you to rest even in the midst of the storm. Amen.

CONOCE A DIOS EN TUS CRISIS

Mateo 8:23-27

Él les dijo: ¿Por qué teméis, hombres de poca fe?

Mateo 8:26a

La tormenta es el mejor momento para descubrir la realidad de Dios, para descubrir que Él está allí presente para protegerte de los fuertes vientos que golpean la barca de tu vida, para descubrir que Él está allí para escuchar tu clamor y brindarte su ayuda, para descubrir que Él está allí para calmar la tempestad en el momento preciso si tan solo depositas tu confianza en Él.

Así que clama tal como clamaron sus discípulos en medio de aquella gran tempestad. La tormenta pasará y te aseguro que no serás el mismo si tan solo confías en Él.

Confiar no implica que no hayan dudas o temores, pero la promesa divina siempre llega con esta palabra que conforta: no tengan temor. Y ahí está la promesa de su presente compañía por siempre, todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo.

 

Oración: Mi buen Señor Jesús, ayúdame a tener la suficiente confianza y fe en ti para descansar aun en medio de la tormenta. Amén.
