PRAYING IN THIS WAY

1 John 5:14-15

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will he will hear us. (NIV)

Surely you have wondered more than once if you pray in the right way or not, if your prayers are heard by God. You must know that when you pray, he really hears your prayers. That is the first good news. There, every moment you direct your words to heaven, God is listening to you. Our Lord listens to you in everything you have asked, before your knees touched the ground, God already knew your needs. He knows everything you have done, he knows the decisions you have made, he knows if you have been wrong, he knows if you have fallen because you did not let yourself be guided by hm. There is no place where you and I can flee from the presence of God. He is everywhere and at all times.

So how should we pray? Time is not the most important thing. The essential thing is that when you pray you be sincere, because you are talking to him. The prayer that counts is the one that is sincere, with faith, humble, that is willing to accept the will of the Father, a repentant prayer that recognizes when you have made a mistake, an open prayer to hear the voice of God. God awaits us every day, even if it is just a minute, but may it be the most sincere minute of our day.

Today, let us ask God to help us have enough humility, repentance, sincerity and faith in our prayers to be closer to him.

 

Prayer: Lord, bless us. Guide our steps to get ahead and keep us strengthened, without letting go of your powerful hand, knowing that prayer has great power. Thank you that you always listen to us. Amen.

ORANDO DE ESTA MANERA

1 Juan 5:14-15

Y esta es la confianza que tenemos en Dios, que si pedimos alguna cosa conforme a su voluntad, él nos oye.

1 Juan 5:14

Seguro te has preguntado más de una vez si oras de la manera correcta o no, si tus oraciones son escuchadas por Dios. Debes saber que cuando oras Él de verdad escucha tus oraciones. Esa es la primera buena noticia. Ahí, en cada momento que diriges tus palabras al cielo, está Dios escuchándote. Nuestro Señor te escucha en todo lo que le has pedido, antes de que tus rodillas tocaran el suelo, Dios ya sabía tus necesidades. Él sabe todo lo que tú has hecho, sabe de las decisiones que has tomado, sabe si te has equivocado, sabe si has caído a causa de no dejarte guiar por Él. No hay lugar donde tú y yo podamos huir de la presencia de Dios. Él está en todos lados y en todo momento.

Entonces ¿cómo debemos orar? El tiempo no es lo más importante. Lo esencial es que cuando ores seas sincero, porque estás hablando con Él. La oración que vale es la que es sincera, con fe, humilde, que está dispuesta a aceptar la voluntad del Padre, una oración arrepentida que reconozca cuándo te has equivocado, una oración abierta para escuchar la voz de Dios. Dios todos los días nos espera, aunque sea solo un minuto, pero que sea el minuto más sincero de nuestro día.

Hoy pidámosle a Dios que nos ayude a tener la suficiente humildad, arrepentimiento, sinceridad y fe en nuestras oraciones para estar más acerca de Él.

 

Oración: Señor, bendícenos. Guía nuestros pasos para salir adelante y mantenernos fortalecidos, sin soltarnos de tu mano poderosa, sabiendo que la oración tiene un gran poder. Gracias que siempre nos escuchas. Amén.
