COMPLETE TRUST IN THE LORD

Psalm 4

Psalm 4:8

For lack of trust countless people in the world live devoid of peace.

This Psalm is an expectation asking us to deposit our lives into God’s hands and change our minds and attitudes, recognizing that only in God can we have absolute trust, certainty, and security.

We know God listens to us because he has set us apart for himself. This is the best answer to all anxieties. Every believer in Christ can have this conviction in total confidence. We must accept God’s redemption and trust, seek a deeper fellowship. The Lord gives us a joy greater than any joy derived from material abundance, which is always ephemeral. That is why the psalmist says, “I will lie down in peace and likewise I will sleep,” because he lives in full confidence that God cares for him and guides him.

God provides material sustenance and wants us to enjoy it, but obtaining it should not be the object in our lives.

We will make this Psalm ours in this same way, and we will deposit all our trust in the all-powerful Lord.

 

Prayer: Beloved Father, help us to fortify our faith in you so that it may truly be unbreakable. Amen.

PLENA CONFIANZA EN EL SEÑOR

Salmo 4

Salmo 4:8

Innumerables personas en el mundo viven desprovistas de paz  por falta de confianza.

Este salmo es una exhortación a depositar nuestra vida en Dios y cambiar de actitud, al reconocer que solo en Él podemos tener absoluta confianza, certeza y seguridad.

Sabemos que Dios nos escucha porque nos ha apartado para Él. Ésta es la mejor respuesta a todas las angustias, todo creyente en Cristo puede tener esta convicción en total confidencia. Debemos aceptar la redención de Dios y confiar, buscar una comunión más profunda. El Señor nos da una alegría mayor que cualquier gozo que se derive de abundancias materiales, que siempre son efímeras. Por eso el salmista dice en paz me acostaré y así mismo dormiré, porque vive en la plena confianza que Dios lo cuida y lo guía.

Dios provee los bienes materiales y quiere que disfrutemos de ellos, pero conseguirlos no debe ser el objetivo en nuestras vidas.

De esa misma manera haremos este salmo como nuestro,  y depositaremos toda nuestra confianza en el Señor Todopoderoso.

 

Oración: Padre amado, ayúdanos a fortalecer nuestra fe en ti, para que esta sea inquebrantable. Amén.
