THE STORE FOR EVERYONE

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Psalms 19:14 (NRSV)

In these current times that we are living, it is very difficult not to hear: “I need a pair of shoes, I need rice . . . or any other thing.” But we don’t realize that we have a store that very few of us enter, where one can buy, or even better, obtain, everything that is truly necessary for our lives, because our Lord has already paid for all of it for everyone who trusts in him.

Within that store there is patience, love, compassion, obedience, faith, strength, grace, blessings, peace, spiritual happiness, companionship. When we have our basket full of these goods, our life will change: we will continue to need things daily, but we will learn to go through life as we share our needs and our love.

The Word exhorts us not to labor or worry about what we might have to eat or drink, or for what clothes we will have to wear, for the heavenly Father knows what we need even before we ask Him.

Prayer: We pray that every day our gratitude may be to You Lord and for trusting in your providence. Amen.

LA TIENDA DE TODOS

1 Tesalonisenses 5:18
