THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

Psalm 23

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NRSV)

I have a friend who let God into her heart several years ago. During all this time she hasn’t stopped praying or asking him for spiritual growth, which although it is a gift from God, implies our commitment to bear fruit during our long transformation.

Many years have passed, her faith has grown, and our Lord Jesus Christ has changed her life in such a manner that she feels the need to serve Christ in a special way. But she isn’t so young anymore and she has a family.

Only God knows the path to follow and the right time for our calling; we only need obey him and let ourselves be guided by Him. Let us always remember what Moses said to Joshua: It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

He never abandons his children. Let us put all our trust and hope in Him, patiently waiting for His will to be done.

 

Prayer: Beloved Father, let us be courageous and able to respond to all that you call us to do. Amen.

JEHOVÁ ES MI PASTOR

Salmo 23

Y Jehová va delante de ti, él estará contigo, no te dejará, ni te desamparará, no temas, ni teintimides.

Deuteronomio 31:8

Tengo una amiga que desde hace varios años dejó entrar a Dios en su corazón. Durante todo este tiempo no ha dejado de orar y de pedirle por su crecimiento espiritual, que aunque es una dádiva de Dios, implica nuestro empeño para ir dando frutos durante nuestra larga transformación.

Han pasado los años, su fe ha crecido y nuestro Señor Jesucristo ha cambiado su vida de tal manera que siente la necesidad de servir a Cristo de forma especial. Pero ya no es tan joven y tiene una familia.

Solo Dios conoce el camino a seguir y el momento adecuado para nuestro llamado, solo debemos obedecerlo y dejarnos guiar por Él. Recordemos siempre lo que Moisés le dijo a Josué: Y Jehová va delante de ti, el estará contigo, no te dejará, ni te desamparará, no temas, ni te intimides.

Él nunca abandona a sus hijos. Depositemos toda nuestra confianza y esperanza en Él, aguardando con paciencia que se haga su voluntad.

 

Oración: Padre amado permite que seamos valientes y podamos responder a todo llamado que tú nos hagas. Amén.
