Seniors Day in Cuba

Matthew 21:28-32

Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said, “The first.”

Matthew 21:31ª (NRSV)

The day of sacrifice is finally approaching, but Jesus takes advantage of every moment to rebuke the priests and scribes. Two sons, two attitudes and rapidly the conversation leads  them to where Jesus wants to go: Which was the son who won the approval of his father? Approval is gained by obeying God and rectifying our mistakes without forgetting the supreme commandment of love, even if initially we live in sin like prostitutes and publicans.

Our Father doesn’t rejoice over the children who live with hypocrisy like the priests and scribes.

Clearly we see that those who act with love and justice attain salvation.

God calls us today, now, to recognize him in our words and acts, praising God and serving people.  This is the only way to achieve peace.

 

Prayer: Spirit of life, give us wisdom and faith so that we may always obey your laws of love. Amen.

Día de la ancianidad en Cuba

¿Cuál de los dos hizo la voluntad de su padre? Ellos dijeron: el primero.

Mateo 21: 31ª

Ya se acerca, al fin, el da del sacrificio, más Jesús aprovecha  todos los momentos para increpar a los sacerdotes y escribas.  Dos hijos, dos actitudes y rápidamente la plática los lleva a  donde Jesús queria ¿Cuál  era  el hijo  que alcanzaba el  reconocimiento de su  padre?  El reconocimiento se alcanza por  obedecer a  Dios  rectificando nuestros errores, sin olvidar el  mandamiento  supremo  del amor, aunque inicialmente vivamos  en pecado como las prostitutas y publicanos.

Nuestro  Padre  no se regocija de los hijos que viven con  hipocresia como los sacerdotes y escribas.

Claramente vemos que los que obran con amor y justicia  alcanzan la salvación.

Dios nos llama hoy y ahora a reconocerlo de palabras y de obras, alabanza a Dios y servicio al pueblo. Solo asi alcanzamos la paz.

 

Oración: Espiritu de vida, danos sabiduria y fe para siempre obedecer tus leyes de amor. Amén
