PERSEVERE IN PRAYER

Luke 11: 5-13

I say to you: ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. (NIV)

Luke 11: 9

Sometimes we can feel discouraged when our prayers are not answered immediately. It is important to understand that the answer to our prayers may not always be what we expect, or at the time we desire. In today’s text, Jesus encourages us to ask, seek and knock, and assures us that if we ask we will receive; if we seek we will find; and if we knock, it will be opened to us. Let us trust in God and seek his presence, because God has a purpose and a perfect time for each of our requests.

 Sometimes the answer can be “yes,” other times it can be “no,” and other times it can be “wait.” But we must trust that God knows what is best for us and that he always acts in our best interest. For this reason, we must not become discouraged or give up, but persevere in prayer, knowing that God listens to us and will respond according to his will. Don’t give up on your prayer life. Continue to seek God fervently and pray without ceasing. Do not get tired of asking, seeking guidance from him, and knocking on his door. Trust that he is in control and is always willing to listen to us and respond to us in the best way.

 Prayer: Lord, help us to trust you at all times, and not to become discouraged when our prayers are not answered as we hope. Strengthen our faith and help us rest in your blessed will. We asks in the name of Jesus. Amen.

PERSEVERA EN LA ORACIÓN

A veces podemos sentirnos desanimados cuando nuestras oraciones no son respondidas de inmediato. Es importante comprender que la respuesta a nuestras oraciones puede no ser siempre lo que esperamos o en el momento que deseamos. En el texto de hoy, Jesús nos anima a pedir, buscar y llamar, y nos asegura que si pedimos recibiremos; si buscamos encontraremos; y si llamamos, se nos abrirá. Confiemos en Dios y busquemos su presencia, porque Dios tiene un propósito y un tiempo perfecto para cada una de nuestras peticiones. A veces la respuesta puede ser un “sí”, otras veces puede ser un “no” y otras veces puede ser un “espera”. Pero debemos confiar en que Dios sabe qué es mejor para nosotros y que siempre actúa en nuestro beneficio. Por ello no debemos desanimarnos ni rendirnos, sino perseverar en la oración, sabiendo que Dios nos escucha y responderá de acuerdo a su voluntad. No te des por vencido en tu vida de oración. Continúa buscando a Dios con fervor y orando sin cesar. No te canses de pedirle, buscar su guia y llamar a su puerta. Confia en que Él tiene el control y siempre está dispuesto a escucharnos y respondernos de la mejor manera.

 

Oración: Señor, ayúdanos a confiar en ti en todo momento y ano desanimarnos cuando nuestras oraciones no sean respondidas como esperamos. Fortalece nuestra fe y ayúdanos descansar en tu bendita voluntad. Te lo pedimos en el nombre de Jesús. Amén.
