TRUST IN GOD

PSALM  31: 1-2, 5, 11

Into your hands I commit my spirit; deliver me , Lord, my faithful God.

Psalm 31:5 NIV

As human beings we go through extreme situations or find ourselves in vulnerable and painful positions in which no person should be. Some of these situations that we experience are the result of our own choices and decisions; but there are others that are not the result of personal actions. Sometimes these experiences are lived as a result of the attitudes or actions of others, who, moved by prejudice, resentment, cowardice and without thinking about the consequences, act from injustice and do damage to the lives of others, leaving them in situations of vulnerability and lack of protection.

In one way or another, we may experience in our own history or in the history of those around us, the possible limits that a human being can endure, or  despair; just as the psalmist experiences it in this cry that he lifts up to God.

However, the psalmist, in the midst of his affliction, trusts in God. Protection, justice, listening, freedom, support and truth are the certainties that the psalmist finds in God to trust him and ask him for help in the situation that afflicts him. We can do the same. If in our life or those around us there are people in similar conditions, let us have a time of prayer to our Father to entrust ourselves and the lives of these people to him.

 

Prayer: Hear us Father, we need you! Amen.

CONFÍA EN DIOS

Salmo 31: 1-2, 5, 11

En tus manos encomiendo mi espíritu; ¡rescátame, Señor, ¡Dios de la verdad!

Salmo 31:5

Como seres humanos atravesamos situaciones extremas o nos encontramos en posiciones vulnerables y dolorosas en las cuáles ninguna persona deberia estar. Algunas de estas situaciones que se experimentan son consecuencia de opciones y decisiones propias; pero existen otras que no son consecuencia de actos personales. En ocasiones se viven estas experiencias como resultado de las actitudes o acciones de otros, que movidos por los prejuicios, los rencores, las cobardis y sin pensar en las consecuencias obran desde la injusticia y el daño sobre la vida de los otros y las otras dejándoles en situaciones de desprotección y vulnerabilidad.

De una forma o de otra es posible que experimentemos en nuestra propia historia o en la de aquellos que están a nuestro alrededor, los limites posibles que puede soportar un ser humano, la desesperación; tal cual la experimenta el salmista en este clamor que levanta a Dios.

Sin embargo, el salmista en medio de su aflicción, conf ia en Dios. Protección, justicia, escucha, libertad, sostén y verdad son las certezas que el salmista encuentra en Dios para confiarle y pedirle ayuda en medio de la situación que le aflige. Nosotros podemos hacer lo mismo. Si en nuestra vida o alrededor nuestro hay personas en condiciones similares, tengamos un tiempo de oración a nuestro Padre para confiarnos y confiarle la vida de esas personas.

 

Oración: Escúchanos Padre, ¡te necesitamos! Amén
