FAITHFUL

Luke 12: 13-21

 

This is how it will be with whomever stores up things for himself but is not rich toward  God.

Lucas 12:21 NIV

In today's Gospel Jesus shares with us fundamental lessons for the life of every human being: not to accumulate unnecessary goods, not to live with greed, never to value people for what they have.

To illustrate this message Jesus tells a parable and he does it from his own life experience. Jesus was never concerned about riches or material goods; he dedicated his life to show us what it means to be rich before God. It is up to us as his followers to share this teaching with those who are close to us. And for this we must do it in the way of the Master, through our testimony, with our own practice of life, from where it is necessary to review where our priorities are today, if they are placed next to the desire to have more and more or next to those motivations and interests that show us what is truly valuable before God.

 

Prayer: Lord, give us the discernment and the capacity to remain faithful to your Kingdom project. Amen

Lucas 12: 13-21

Así le sucede al que acumula riquezas para sí mismo, en vez de ser rico delante de Dios.

En el evangelio de hoy Jesús nos comparte aprendizajes fundamentales para la vida de todo ser humano: no acumular bienes innecesarios, no vivir con avaricia, nunca valorar a las personas por lo que tienen.

 

Para ilustrar este mensaje Jesús cuenta una parábola y lo hace desde su propia experiencia de vida. Jesús nunca se preocupó por las riquezas, ni bienes materiales, dedicó su vida a mostrarnos qué significa ser rico delante de Dios. Nos corresponde como sus seguidores y seguidoras, compartir esta enseñanza con quienes están cerca. Y para ello debemos hacerlo al modo del Maestro, a través de nuestro testimonio, con nuestra propia práctica de vida, desde donde se hace necesario revisar donde están nuestras prioridades hoy, si están colocadas junto al afán por tener cada vez más o junto a aquellas motivaciones e intereses que nos muestran lo que es verdaderamente valioso delante de Dios.

 

Oración : Señor danos Tú el discernimiento y la capacidad suficiente para permanecer fieles a tu proyecto de Reino. Amén
