SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22

TO THANK IS TO LOVE

1 Thesslonians 1:1-5

We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers.

1 Thessalonians  1:2

To always give thanks to God for everything that happens in our life, for the great blessings and also for those that we receive on a daily basis, is very good. Moreover, to rejoice in our hearts and thank God for the lives of others, for the blessings they receive, is not only good, it is wonderful, because to make us participate in the good news that our fellow men and women receive, to thank God for their lives, is a gesture that happens as a personal initiative and from where one of the main commands that God has for each of his sons and daughters, that of loving those who are close to us, as ourselves, is made concrete .

Guided by the first verses of this letter sent by the Apostle Paul to the Church in Thessalonica, where he begins his letter by giving signs of gratitude for the lives of those who make up this community and having as a Christian maxim the practice of agape love, let us include in each of our prayers, thanksgiving for the people who are around us.

 

Prayer: Thank you Father for your presence and for the blessings you shower on each of your sons and daughters. Amen

Siempre damos gracias a Dios por todos ustedes cuando los mencionamos en nuestras oraciones.

1 Tesalonicenses 1:2

 

Dar siempre gracias a Dios por todo lo que sucede en nuestra vida, por las grandes bendiciones y también por aquellas que recibimos en el dia a dia, es muy bueno. Más, alegrarnos de corazón y agradecer a Dios por la vida de otras personas, por las bendiciones que reciben, no solo es bueno, es maravilloso, porque el hacernos participes de las buenas nuevas que reciben nuestros semejantes, agradecer a Dios por sus vidas, es un gesto que acontece como iniciativa personal y desde donde se concreta uno de los principales mandatos que Dios tiene para cada uno de sus hijos y sus hijas, aquel de amar a quienes están próximos, como a nosotros mismos.

 

Guiados por los primeros versos de esta carta que envia el apóstol Pablo a la Iglesia en Tesalónica, donde inicia la misma dando muestras de gratitud por la vida de quienes integran esta comunidad y teniendo como máxima cristiana la práctica del amor ágape, incluyamos en cada una de nuestras oraciones, acciones de gracias por las personas que están a nuestro alrededor.

 

Oración: Gracias Padre por tu presencia y por las bendiciones que derramas sobre cada uno de tus hijos y tus hijas. Amén
