Anniversary of the Mission Church Palos

MAY WE BE BLESSED

Luke 11: 27-28

He replied, “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”  (NIV)

Luke 11: 28

In just one verse Jesus summarizes the intention of the Gospel, and proposes the only possible attitude toward its message, promising happiness to those who hear and keep God’s word. We must take into account this clarification from Jesus to guide our lives every day. The first thing is to hear and do what God asks us to do, because only in this way will we achieve his promises and his joy. We will be happy if we advance on the path without allowing ourselves to be distracted or entertained by everything that seems good, and we apply discernment in each situation, without ceasing to distinguish what is fundamental in our life.

That is why, every morning, we must wake up thanking God for this new day and asking for his guidance and wisdom to face life with its sorrows and disappointments, and confidently wait and accept his will. We must wake up reading and meditating on the Scriptures, and then with his blessing, put on the clothes of courage, seeking, above all, to keep his word.

Blessed are we, because we have God every day until the end of time. Blessed are we for his word, full of promises and life, full of hopes. Blessed are we if we scrutinize his message and make it a reality in our daily actions as Christians.

 

Prayer: Lord, today we thank you for another day of life. Help us to discern your will in every situation and in every step we take today. Teach us to keep your word and be consistent with it. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Aniversario de la IPR de Palos

SEAMOS DICHOSOS

Lucas 11: 27-28

Pero él dijo: Dichosos más bien los que oyen la palabra de Dios y la guardan.

Lucas 11: 28

En tan solo un versiculo Jesús nos resume la intención del Evangelio, y propone la única actitud posible frente a su mensaje, prometiendo la dicha a quien oye y guarda la Palabra de Dios. Cada dia debemos tener en cuenta esta aclaración de Jesús para encaminar nuestras vidas. Lo primero es oir y hacer lo que Dios nos pide que hagamos, porque solo asi alcanzaremos sus promesas y la dicha. Seremos dichosos si avanzamos en el camino sin dejarnos distraer ni entretener por todo aquello aparentemente bueno y aplicamos discernimiento en cada situación, sin dejar de distinguir lo fundamental en nuestra vida.

Por eso cada mañana debemos levantarnos agradeciendo a Dios por este nuevo dia y pidiendo su guia y sabiduria para enfrentar la vida con sus penas y sinsabores, y esperar y aceptar confiados su voluntad. Debemos amanecer leyendo y meditando en las Escrituras para luego con su bendición, ponernos la ropa de la valentia, buscando, ante todo, guardar su Palabra.

Dichosos somos porque tenemos a Dios todos los dias hasta el fin de los tiempos. Dichosos somos por su Palabra llena de promesas y vida, llena de esperanzas. Dichosos si escudriñamos su mensaje y lo hacemos realidad en nuestro actuar diario como cristianos y cristianas.

 

Oración : Señor, hoy te agradecemos por un dia más de vida. Ayúdanos a discernir tu voluntad en cada situación y en cada paso que hoy demos. Enséñanos a guardar tu Palabra y a ser coherentes con ella. Te lo pedimos en el nombre de Jesús. Amén.
