HE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN
PSALM 46
God
is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm
46:1
At times, we forget
that God is all-powerful, which means that the impossible word does not exist
for Him. We often limit God in his magnificent power when we believe that what
we are going through is too difficult to be resolved. We think that our
problems are too hard, that they rob our hearts of peace and that only a
miracle could change the panorama. So, why do we not believe that God can do
it?
On occasion, we
pray more through routine or habit, without believing that God can truly change
the situation. And yet this what He has done.
There are many
times that we have surely heard the phrase that we can give our problems over
to God because He can do everything. But
today we are repeating this to you because today is special: it is the day that
God has prepared to remind you of something that you already knew, but that you
sometimes forget: that God can do it.
Could anything be
impossible for Him? Can anything escape
his sovereignty? Is there any situation that He cannot change?
God opened the Red
Sea, tumbled the strongest walls, nourished his people in the middle of the
desert for forty years. So then why could He not do something for us? Or are
our problems more impossible than those surprising miracles? Let’s not ever forget that God is by our
side.
Prayer: Lord,
forgive us for the many times that we forget that you are always by our
side. Grant that we may always trust in
you and in your promises. Amen.
