DO THIS!

PHILIPPIANS 4:1-9

Whatever you have learned or received

or heard from me, or seen in me - put into practice…

Philippians 4:9a

We live in difficult times; they are times to be alert, to be attentive, times for vigilance and commitment.

We should remain unswerving, with great faith, that faith that moves mountains, because we are constantly stalked by great demands that we should know how to manage. How we confront those trials depends on each one of us.

    

Don’t feel defeated or crushed, rather just the opposite. We should feel secure, dismissing fear and meet what’s coming with true conviction and in a deep communion with the Holy Spirit. Patience, gentleness, joy, self-assurance, and above all faith are some of the fruits of the Spirit we shouldn’t stop cultivating amid these trials. Every moment in history has its challenges, the personal as well as the universal. God asks us to dismiss fear and the spirit of cowardliness. May we find his will for these times, and may we remember that great cloud of witnesses who stood firm before their many trials.

Let us put ourselves in God’s hands and trust that all will come out well, and at the same time do everything we’ve learned and received through his word.

    

What a beautiful exhortation for today!

Prayer:  Keep our faith strong, Lord. Let us not waiver before trials. May our trust in your promises sustain us in the midst of difficulties and make us into doers of your word, not just listeners. Amen.

FILIPENSES 4:1-9

Lo que aprendisteis, recibisteis, oísteis

y visteis en mí, esto haced

Filipenses 4:9a

Estos tiempos que corren son tiempos difíciles. Son tiempos de estar alerta, de estar atentos, tiempos para la vigilia y el compromiso.

Debemos mantenernos firmes con gran fe, esa fe que mueve montañas. Porque  constantemente somos acechados con  grandes pruebas que debemos saber manejar. Depende de cada uno de nosotros cómo nos enfrentamos a esas pruebas.

 No nos sintamos vencidos ni derrotados; sino todo lo contrario, sintámonos seguros, desechemos el miedo y afrontemos lo que venga con plena convicción y en una profunda comunión con el Espíritu Santo. La paciencia, la mansedumbre, el gozo, el dominio propio y sobre todo la fe, son algunos de los frutos del Espíritu que no debemos dejar de cultivar en medio de estas pruebas.  Cada momento de la historia, tanto la personal como la universal, tiene sus retos, Dios nos pide que desechemos la angustia y el espíritu de cobardía. Descubramos su voluntad para estos tiempos y recordemos a esa gran nube de testigos que ante muchas pruebas se mantuvo fiel.

Pongámonos en las manos de Dios y confiemos en que todo saldrá bien, al mismo tiempo hagamos todo lo que aprendimos y recibimos en su palabra. ¡Qué hermosa exhortación para hoy!

Oración: Mantén firme nuestra fe, Señor. Haz que no flaqueemos antes las pruebas. Que nuestra confianza en tus promesas nos sostengan en medio de las dificultades y nos hagan hacedores  de tu palabra y no solo oidores. Amén.
