FAITHFULNESS TO GOD

ECCLESIASTES 12:1-14

Remember your creator in the days of your youth…

                                          

     Ecclesiastes 12:1

This is the final verse in the book of Ecclesiastes; and I’d say it’s the most judicious conclusion of the wise man. Youth is the pillar of our church. The youth develop important ministries in our communities. There are useful and active elements in their enthusiasm that can ignite the necessary flame to mobilize our church when it languishes or becomes stale.

Some youth are very active in the life of their churches. For others, it would be good to ask them, “Why don’t you make good use of your youth by pledging yourself completely to the service of God in your church?” Ecclesiastes, as preacher, encourages the young people to take care of their youthfulness, to be watchful of their actions and conduct and to fear God both day and night. Remember the Psalmist’s words when he said, “…where can I run from your presence?”

God sees the depths of our hearts, and knows our good intentions. If you are on your journey, and you have decided to surrender yourself to His service, then empty your heart and soul before Him. Forget what the world might bring, and follow Him.

Youth, adult, or elderly, reflect on chapter twelve of Ecclesiastes, and may God give you the necessary wisdom to begin the journey you’ve decided to take.

Prayer:  We pray to you, eternal God, with the desire that our youth continue in your ways, with responsibility and commitment to your work. Help them in their hour of decision. Amen.

¡FIDELIDAD A DIOS!

ECLESIASTÉS 12: 1-14 

Acuérdate de tu creador en los días de tu juventud…

                                          

     Eclesiastés  12:1

Este versículo es el final del libro de Eclesiastés; diría yo, la más sabia conclusión del sabio. La juventud es el pilar fundamental de nuestra Iglesia. La juventud desarrolla importantes ministerios en nuestras comunidades. En su entusiasmo hay elementos útiles, activos, que pueden prender la llama que se necesita para activar nuestra Iglesia cuando languidece o se estanca.

Algunos jóvenes están muy activos en la vida de sus iglesias, a otros sería bueno preguntarles ¿Por qué no aprovechas bien tu juventud entregándote por completo al servicio de Dios en tu Iglesia? El predicador de Eclesiastés anima a los jóvenes a tener cuidado de su juventud, a velar de día y de noche por sus actos, por su conducta, y a tener temor de Dios. Recordemos la palabra del salmista cuando dijo: “…a dónde huiré de tu presencia…”

Dios mira la profundidad de los corazones, y conoce las buenas intenciones. Si estás en sus caminos, y has decidido entregarte a sus servicios, vacía tu corazón y tu alma ante Él. Olvida lo que este mundo te pueda traer y síguele.

Joven, adulto, anciano, reflexiona en este capítulo doce de Eclesiastés, y que Dios te dé la sabiduría necesaria para emprender el camino que tú has decidido tomar.

Oración: Oramos a ti Dios eterno, con el deseo de que  nuestra juventud continúe en tus caminos, en responsabilidad y compromiso con tu Obra. Ayúdales a la hora de tomar decisiones en su vida. Amén.
