RESURRECTION

The secret of death
is difficult; it has been difficult to try to comprehend. And it turns out to be even more painful to
try to shake off such a natural course of events which will touch each of us at
a given time. The death of Jesus was a
historic scandal. How could the Messiah
die? The people of Israel posed such
questions, and many were answered with: “He was a mere prophet and nothing
else.” And the same thing happens to us Christians: we forget that Jesus keeps all his
promises. He was resurrected from among
the dead, and he is among us with his mantle of grace, asking us to be
collaborators in the construction of the Kingdom of Heaven, so that our lives
may be more abundant. He is not here, he has risen! as it was
said. Come and see where they have put
him.
When we approach
reliving the harsh reality of the passion and death of Jesus, let us experience
Lent with the conviction that there is a hope that does not disappoint us: the
hope of resurrection.
If you are now
confronting a reality of death or suffering, be encouraged and have trust; God
will grant you the victory.
Prayer: Lord, grant that we may see you among us as the guide of our lives. Amen

ESPERANZA DE RESURRECCIÓN
MATEO
10:17-20
Pero cuando los entreguen a las
autoridades,
no se preocupen ustedes por lo que
han de decir
o cómo han de decirlo, porque
cuando les llegue el momento
de hablar, Dios les dará las
palabras

El secreto de la muerte es difícil, ha sido
difícil tratar de entenderlo, y resulta más espinoso todavía dejar de
estremecerse ante un suceso natural y que a todos toca en su momento.
La muerte de Jesús fue un escándalo
histórico. ¿Cómo el Mesías iba a morir? Preguntas como éstas se hacía el pueblo
de Israel, y muchos se contestaban: “Era un profeta más y aquí termina”.
Pero se les había olvidado lo más importante: la gran promesa de Jesús de
que resucitaría al tercer día. Y eso nos
pasa a los cristianos: nos olvidamos que Jesús todo lo que promete lo cumple. Y
resucitó de entre los muertos y está entre nosotros con su manto de gracia
pidiéndonos que seamos colaboradores en la construcción del Reino de los Cielos
para que nuestra vida sea más plena. No está aquí, sino que ha resucitado, como
dijo. Vengan a ver el lugar donde lo pusieron.
Cuando nos acercamos a revivir la
dura realidad de la pasión y muerte de Jesús, caminemos esta Cuaresma con la
convicción de que hay una esperanza que no nos defrauda, la esperanza de
resurrección.
Si ahora mismo estás enfrentando
una realidad de muerte, sufrimiento, anímate y ten confianza, Dios te
dará la victoria.
Oración: Señor, permítenos verte entre nosotros como el guía de nuestras vidas. Amén
