YOU CAN ALWAYS DO MORE
JOSHUA 17:18
But as for me, I am filled with power,
with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might.

If you can no longer
work for God, pray for those who can. If you can’t move the world with your
words, you can move heaven. If carrying on life on the lowest slopes is
impossible because of limitations on service, the need to support others, and
similar constraints, allow all that to open the path to the invisible, the
eternal, the divine.
Faith can work miracles.
Even if the tribes had realized the treasures that lay above them, they would
have hardly dared to think about the possibility of clearing the forest from
the mountain. But as God gave them the job, he also reminded them that they had
sufficient strength.
Visions of things that
appear impossible are like these slopes covered by forest, to stimulate our
spiritual accomplishments, which would be impossible if God had not provided us
with the power of his Spirit.
Difficulties are sent
to us to show us what God can do in response to faith that prays and works.
Prayer: Lord, increase our faith. Amen.

El espíritu del Señor me llena de
fuerza, justicia y valor.
Miqueas 3:8
Si ya no
puedes trabajar más para Dios, ora por
aquellos que pueden. Si no puedes mover al mundo con tu palabra, tú puedes
mover al cielo. Si el desarrollo de la vida en los declives más inferiores es
imposible a causa de las limitaciones de servicio, de la necesidad de mantener
a otros y de otras restricciones semejantes, permite que ello se abra camino
hacia lo invisible, lo eterno, lo divino.
La fe puede
obrar milagros. Aunque las tribus se
hubiesen dado cuenta de los tesoros que
yacían por encima de ellas, difícilmente se hubieran atrevido a
pensar en la posibilidad de
quitar de la montaña el bosque
que entre ella crecía. Pero como Dios le señaló su tarea, también les recordó
que tenía el poder suficiente.
Las visiones de
las cosas que parecen imposibles se nos presentan como estas pendientes
cubiertas por el bosque, para
estimular nuestras hazañas espirituales,
las cuales serían imposibles si Dios no hubiese provisto nuestro interior con
el propio poder de su Espíritu.
Las dificultades
se nos envían para revelarnos lo que Dios puede hacer en respuesta a la fe que
ora y trabaja.
Oración: Señor, auméntanos la fe. Amén.
