DO I WANT TO LOVE AND SERVE OTHERS?
MARK 1:40 -45
Jesus was indignant. He reached out
his hand and touched the man.
“I am willing,” he said, “Be clean.”

The Bible passage that serves as text to this meditation
presents us with a situation between two people: On one side is a marginalized
man, rejected because of sickness, and whose supposed punishment is for his
sin. On the other side there’s Jesus, the Jesus full of mercy, the Jesus who
loves to assist and heal because of his infinite love. What a great blessing
for all it is to have faith, the absolute confidence that He wants to
demonstrate his love for us!
And you, are you willing and ready to help those at your side
and who need you in some way? Let us
accept the love and the health that Jesus provides us, sharing the same love with
those who surround us. That is the “yes” that we should give.
Demonstrate your love to Jesus by loving others. Say: I want to
love and serve others; yes, I am willing.
Prayer: God of love, help us to
be merciful; to be each time more identified with those around us. Let us be instruments of transformation for
other people. Amen.

El pasaje bíblico que sirve de
texto a esta meditación nos presenta una situación entre dos personas: de un
lado está un hombre marginado y rechazado a causa de enfermedad y supuesto
castigo por su pecado, del otro lado está Jesús, el Jesús lleno de
misericordia, el Jesús que quiere, por su amor infinito, ayudar y sanar. ¡Qué
gran bendición para todos es tener la fe, la confianza absoluta en que Él
quiere demostrar su amor por nosotros!
Y tú, ¿estás dispuesto y
presto a ayudar, de alguna manera al que está a tu lado y te necesita?
Aceptemos el amor y la sanidad que Jesús nos proporciona compartiendo ese mismo
amor con los que nos rodean. Ese es el sí que debemos dar.
Demuestra tu amor a Jesús
amando a los demás. Di: yo quiero amar y servir a los demás, sí yo quiero.
Oración: Dios de amor, ayúdanos a ser misericordiosos e
identificarnos cada vez más con los que nos rodean. Permite que podamos ser instrumentos de transformación para otras
personas. Amén
