THE SOURCE OF ALL LIFE

Hebrews 1:1-4

...So he became much superior to the angels, as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

Hebrews 1:4

            All life is expressed in movement and action. The greater the perfection of life, the more perfect the action will be. But the most complete and true action is the action of God. God’s action? Yes, God is in the world by our side, in our struggles and anguish, aware of all human events. Of him we can say: nothing human is alien to him.

            God cares for all humans who populate the earth, numbering in the millions. All are objects of God’s care and attention. How can we have this security? We have the answer in the Book of Hebrews, it says: He who draws near to God must do so with faith. Faith enables us to understand God, to feel and adore him. Therefore, we can affirm that God exists. We believe there is an Almighty God because his work and his actions reveal it. God makes himself known, he openly manifests himself to each one of us, and everyone has the capacity to understand God. Everything that is necessary to know about him he reveals to man. God is not an idea about whom we can elaborate deep thoughts and theories.

            He is the source of all life in the world, making his existence and all that he does visible to us.

            The Bible tells us that God made the heavens and the earth and sea. The world exists because God works in it, and because God reveals himself to us, we can know him. If we want to, we can see the mighty hand of God working in our lives today.

 

Prayer: Lord, I think you for your care, because you allow us to live, because you give us all the things we need, and because we can know you. Amen.

LA FUENTE DE TODA LA VIDA

Hebreos 1:1-4

...hecho tanto superior a los ángeles.

Hebreos 1:4

            Toda la vida se expresa en movimiento, en acción. A mayor perfección de vida, más perfecta será la acción. Pero la acción más completa y verdadera es la acción de Dios. ¿Acción de Dios? Sí, Dios está en el mundo a nuestro lado, en nuestras luchas y en nuestras angustias, al tanto de todo acontecer humano. De Él sí podemos decir: Nada humano le es ajeno.

            Dios se interesa por  cada uno de los hombres que pueblan la tierra en cantidad tan grande de millones. Todos son objeto del cuidado y la atención de Dios. ¿Y cómo podemos tener esta seguridad? En el mismo libro a los Hebreos, tenemos la respuesta: El que se acerca a Dios, debe hacerlo con fe. La fe nos capacita para comprender a Dios, para sentirle y para adorarle. Por todo esto, podemos afirmar que Dios existe. Creemos que hay un Dios Todopoderoso, porque su obra, su acción, así lo revelan. Dios, es Dios que se da a conocer, que se manifiesta abiertamente a cada uno de nosotros,  y todo hombre tiene la capacidad para comprender a Dios. Todo lo que es necesario saber acerca de Él, lo revela al hombre. Dios no es una idea, sobre la cual podemos elaborar profundos pensamientos y teorías.

            Él es la fuente de toda vida en el mundo, que nos hace visible su propia vida y todo lo que Él hace. La Biblia nos habla de que Dios hizo los cielos y la tierra, el mar . Porque Dios obra en el mundo, es que éste existe;  y porque Dios se nos revela,  es que podemos conocerle. Si queremos, podremos ver la mano poderosa de Dios obrando en nuestras vidas en el día de hoy.

 

Oración: Señor, gracias por tus cuidados, porque tú nos permites vivir, porque tú nos concedes todas las cosas que necesitamos y porque podemos conocerte. Amén.
