JESUS’ HARD WORDS (III)

Matthew 10: 16-23

For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.  (NIV)

Matthew 10:20

Christians have a prophetic commitment to society. This commitment is based on God’s call to work for justice, peace and equality in the world. We are aware that innumerable injustices exist around us, and we are called to work to eradicate them.

This passage is a call to courage and perseverance in faith. Jesus knows that his followers will face difficulties and dangers, but he assures them that they will not be alone. He also tells them that they should not worry, because the Holy Spirit will guide them in what to say and how to act in the most critical moments.

 

Prayer: Lord, help us to be cunning as serpents and simple as doves to face the trials and persecutions that may come our way. Give us the strength and wisdom necessary to bear witness to you without fear of consequences. May our faith be unshakable, and our trust in you never fade. Amen.

Las palabras duras de Jesús (III)

Mateo 10: 16-23

Porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu devuestro Padre que habla en vosotros

Mateo 10:20

Las cristianas y cristianos tenemos un compromiso profético con la sociedad. Este compromiso se basa en el llamado de Dios a trabajar por la justicia, la paz y la igualdaden el mundo. Somos consientes de que alrededor nuestroexisten innumerables injusticias y estamos llamados atrabajar para erradicarlas.

Este pasaje es una llamada a la valentía y la perseverancia en la fe. Jesús sabe que sus seguidores enfrentaran dificultadesy peligros pero les asegura que no estarán solos. También les dice que no deben preocuparse porque el Espíritu Santo le guiará en qué decir y cómo actuar en los momentos más críticos.

 

Oración: Señor, ayúdanos a ser astutos como serpientes y sencillos como palomas para enfrentarlas pruebas y persecuciones que puedan venir en el camino. Danos la fuerza y sabiduría necesarias para dar testimonio de ti sin temor a las consecuencias. Que nuestra fe sea inquebrantable y nuestra confianza en ti nunca se desvanezca. Amén.
