Be Strong and Courageous

Matthew 13:24-43

He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, (…) Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.

It is a certainty for Christians today that Jesus of Nazareth announced the good news of the Kingdom of God in every time and place where he was, showing the hard work of sowing the good seeds. Sowing is not an easy action; neither is growing and bearing fruit in the midst of the realities of life!

There is no doubt that today the world is like a field where diverse seeds coexist. In spite of this, those sown by God have the mission of being the wheat in the midst of the weeds that also grow in the field. The daughters and sons of God are heirs of His Kingdom; therefore, they are responsible for its care and preservation. To flourish in the midst of adversity is the complex task that the seeds sown by the Son of Man must face. Those who act in righteousness and truth will be the good seeds that will overcome the onslaught of the tares. Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all things will be added unto you!

God trusts in the light of righteousness and the triumph of good! He only tells us: Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:8).

 

Prayer: Thank you God, for making me part of the good seed you created. Sustain my growth with strength and courage to wait for the harvest, and to be in your barn. Amen.

Esfuérzate y sé valiente

Mateo 13:24-43

Respondiendo él, les dijo: El que siembra la buena semilla es el Hijo del Hombre. El campo es el mundo; la buena semilla son los hijos del reino, y la cizaña son los hijos del malo (…)Entonces los justos resplandecerán como el sol en el reino de su Padre.

Mateo 13:37-38, 43a

Es una certeza para los cristianos de hoy que Jesús de Nazaret haya anunciado la buena noticia del Reino de Dios en todo tiempo y lugar en el que estuvo; dando muestra de la ardua labor de sembrar las buenas semillas. ¡Sembrar no es acción fácil; tampoco lo es crecer y dar frutos en medio de las realidades que se viven!

No hay dudas que hoy el mundo es como el campo donde coexisten diversas semillas. A pesar de ello, las sembradas por Dios tienen la misión de ser el trigo en medio de las cizañas que también crecen en el campo. Las hijas y los hijos de Dios son herederos de su Reino; por lo que son responsables de velar por su cuidado y preservación. Florecer en medio de la adversidad es la compleja tarea que deben afrontar las semillas que sembró el Hijo del Hombre. Los que actúan con justicia y verdad serán las buenas semillas que superarán los embates de la cizaña. ¡Busca primero el Reino de Dios y su justicia; y todas las cosas te serán añadidas!

¡Dios confía en la luz de la justicia y en el triunfo del bien! Solo nos dice: Esfuérzate y se valiente, no temas ni desmayes, porque Jehová Dios estará contigo en dondequiera que vayas(Josué 1:8).

 

Oración: Gracias Dios, por convertirme en parte de la buena semilla que creaste. Sustenta mi crecimiento con fuerza y valentía para esperar la siega, y estar en tu granero. Amén.
