FINDING OURSELVES WITH GOD

1 John 5:14-15

So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. (NIV)

Acts 12:5

            Peter was not experiencing a good moment. The perspective for the future was nothing promising. He was a prisoner; but in that moment of anxiety and suffering his brothers were praying for him constantly.     

            When we feel that there’s nothing else to be done, that we feel that the solution to the problem is not in our hands, we need to remember that Jesus has control. He remains near us, nothing can overcome his power, and foremost his care for us. Everything that is occurring in our hearts should be carried to him in prayer.

            Only through prayer, be it our daily encounter with God, secret and intimate, or together with other brothers, will we unite the conditions to overcome our own problems.

            Whatever the problem may be that you’re confronted with today, don’t forget that  you have God at your side, present and participating, entirely disposed to concentrate all of his resources in resolving whatever crisis that is robbing you of your peace and joy. And, in that conflict, the Lord will give you the grace to live in such a way as to overcome the difficulty.

 

Prayer: Beloved Lord, in this day I give you thanks for that marvelous resource I have within my reach which is prayer. Prayer is that which draws me nearer to you to thank, confess, and request. Help me to use it at all times. Amen.

ENCONTRANDONOS CON DIOS

1 Juan 5:14-15

Mientras Pedro estaba en la cárcel, los miembros de la Iglesia oraban a Dios por él en todo momento.

Hechos 12:5

            Pedro no estaba pasando por un buen momento. Las perspectivas para el futuro no eran nada promisorias. Estaba preso. Pero en ese momento de ansiedad y sufrimiento sus hermanos  oraban por él en todo momento.

            Cuando sentimos que no hay nada más que podamos hacer, que la solución del problema no estáá en nuestras manos, tenemos que recordar que Jesús tiene el control. Sigue cerca de nosotros, nada puede superar su poder, y principalmente, su cuidado hacia nosotros. Todo lo que está pesando en nuestro corazón debe ser llevado en oración.

            Solamente a través de la oración, sea nuestro encuentro diario con Dios, secreto e íntimo, o junto a  otros hermanos,  reuniremos las condiciones para superar nuestros propios problemas.

            Sea cual sea el problema que usted esté enfrentando hoy, no se olvide de que tiene a su lado a Dios, presente y participante, enteramente dispuesto a concentrar todos sus recursos en resolver cualquier crisis que le esté quitando  su paz y alegría. Y en ese conflicto, el Señor le dará la gracia para vivir de forma tal que podrá superar la dificultad.

 

Oración: Amado Señor, en este día te doy gracias por ese maravilloso recurso que tengo a mi alcance que es la oración. Ella es la que me acerca a ti para agradecer, confesar y pedirte. Ayúdame a usarla en todo momento. Amén.
