EVERYTHING IS IMPORTANT

Psalm 8

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? (NIV)

Psalm 8:3-4

            What would happen to a song that lacked certain notes? And to a book that was missing some of its chapters? The keyboard of a computer without one of its keys? A wind-up clock without one of its gear wheels? The prescription without one of its ingredients? The puzzle without one of the pieces? Everything is important. The absence of one element would produce an incomplete result.

            Society gives such importance to fame, to image, and to visible success that many people come to believe that small things do not matter and only that which everyone can see has value. Nothing is farther from the truth. God created the universe with great detail and care. No element exists casually or is there by chance. Everything is important and nothing is insignificant before God.

            If we can see the world from this point of view, we will never depreciate any part of a process, nor will we be carried away by appearances. Furthermore, we will understand the tremendous value we have for our Creator. For him, we are not one more among the thousands of millions of human beings. He knows us and guides and helps us to discover what is truly important in life. We are very important for God.

 

Prayer: Lord my God, thanks for loving me so much, for making me the child of your eye and for caring for me with immense love. Amen.

Aniversario de la Iglesia en Iguará

TODO ES IMPORTANTE

Salmo 8

Cuando veo tus cielos, obra de tus dedos, la luna y las estrellas que tú formaste, digo: ¿Qué es el hombre, para que tengas de él memoria, y el hijo del hombre, para que lo visites?

Salmo 8:3-4

            ¿Qué pasaría con una canción a la que le faltaran ciertas notas? ¿Y con un libro al que le faltara uno de sus capítulos? ¿El teclado de la computadora sin una de sus piezas? ¿¿Un reloj de cuerda sin una de sus ruedas dentadas? ¿La receta sin uno de los ingredientes? ¿El rompecabezas sin una de las piezas? Cada cosa es importante. La ausencia de un elemento produciría un resultado incompleto.

            La sociedad le da tanta importancia a la fama, la imagen y el éxito visible que mucha gente llega a creer que lo pequeño no cuenta y sólo tiene valor aquello que todos pueden ver. Nada está más lejos de la verdad. Dios creó el universo con mucho detalle y cuidado. Ningún elemento existe de manera casual o está allí por azar. Todo es importante y nada es insignificante ante Dios.

            Si logramos ver el mundo desde ese punto de vista, jamás despreciaremos ninguna parte de un proceso ni nos dejaremos llevar por las apariencias. Además, comprenderemos el tremendo valor que tenemos para nuestro Creador. Para Él no somos uno más entre miles de millones de seres humanos. Él nos conoce, nos guía y nos ayuda a descubrir lo que de veras importa en la vida. Somos muy importantes para Dios.

 

Oración: Señor mi Dios, gracias por amarme tanto, por convertirme en la niña de tus ojos, y por cuidar de mí con inmenso amor. Amén.
