WHERE IS YOUR TREASURE?

Matthew 6: 19-21

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 6:21 (NRSV)

            -Isaiah 33:6     . . . he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge;  the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure

            -Malachi 3:17 They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, my special possession on the day when I act, and I will spare them as parents spare their children who serve them.

            I wanted to add these texts from the Old Testament because they are the only ones that speak the word “treasure” in an ethical context and not a material one. What is life’s priority? Rarely will you hear that it is God. We need to reconfigure the “operating system” of our minds with the two commandments established by Jesus, based on love. The serious and critical dilemmas of humanity hold a strong relationship to the “epidemic virus” that nests in our minds around avarice, power greed, egotism, that do and will lead to new levels of confrontation.

            Let’s set our hearts to pump the blood of Christ, leading us to the treasure that hlds all power of restoration, reconciliation, peace, hope, justice, and love–and we will triumph!

 

Prayer: Eternal Father, thank you for showing us the way to the real and unique treasure that we enjoy thanks to your mercy and infinite love which accompanies our work and missions in fulfilment and waiting to be fulfilled. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

DONDE ESTÉ TU TESORO

Mateo 6: 19-21

Porque donde esté vuestro tesoro, allí estará también vuestro corazón

Mateo 6:21

            -Isaías 33:6 Y reinarán en tus tiempos la sabiduría y la ciencia, y abundancia de salvación; el temor de Jehová será su tesoro.

            -Malaquías 3:17 Y serán para mí especial tesoro, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, en el día en que yo actúe; y los perdonaréé, como el hombre que perdona a su hijo que le sirve.

            Quise adicionar estos dos pasajes del Antiguo Testamento pues son los únicos que mencionan la palabra “tesoro” con un contenido ético y no material. ¿A qué se le da prioridad en la vida? Difícilmente le dirán que es a Dios. Necesitamos configurar el "sistema operativo" de la mente con los dos mandamientos instaurados por Jesucristo, basados en el amor.  Los graves y críticos dilemas de la humanidad tienen mucha relación con el "virus epidéémico" que anida en las mentes humanas relacionado con avaricia, deseo de poder, egoísmo, que conducen y conducirán a altos niveles de confrontación.

            Pongamos nuestros corazones a bombear la sangre de Cristo, conduciéndonos al tesoro que tiene todo el poder de restauración, reconciliación, paz, esperanza, justicia y amor, ¡y triunfaremos!

 

Oración: Padre Eterno gracias por mostrarnos el camino hacia el Real y ú£nico tesoro que disfrutamos por Tu misericordia y amor infinitos que acompañ¤a nuestro obrar y misiones en cumplimiento y a cumplir. En el nombre de Jesucristo oramos. Amén.
