WHO PUTS THE PUZZLE TOGETHER?

Jeremiah17: 5-13

I the Lord test the mind and search the heart, to give to all according to their ways, according to the fruit of their doings.

Jeremiah 17:10 (NRSV)

            These thoughts on wisdom teach the mysterious and all powerful world of God’s Sovereignty. Science will never be able to examine every mind and human heart as our Creator does. This brings us to the puzzle that represents each human being: the conflicts and experiences of each one are similar, but none are the same. That’s why science is often powerless when it has to confront the complexity of human reactions, which represent a great and uneven mystery.

            The founders of Alcoholics Anonymous, two Christian alcoholics, convinced that they could only deal with their addiction by trusting in the greater power of God in their lives, wrote this universal prayer which doesn’t take much time, but which is used in similar addictions: Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.*

            The only ability to solve all the puzzles of life in each human’s life is God, a God who is Love. How many problems would be solved if we responded by loving, trusting that in the things that we cannot solve, God will provide by blessing our work!

 

Prayer: God of Love, may the Holy Spirit guide us in the ways of authentic love to reach the goals that can only be solved in your hands. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

¿QUIÉN ARMA EL ROMPECABEZAS?

Jeremías17: 5-13

Yo Jehováá, que escudriño la mente, que pruebo el corazón, para dar a cada uno según el fruto de sus obras.

Jeremías 17:10

            Estos pensamientos de sabiduría enseñan el misterioso y todopoderoso mundo de la Soberanía de Dios. La ciencia nunca podrá escudriñar cada mente y corazón humano como lo hace nuestro Creador. Esto nos trae al rompecabezas que representa cada ser humano, los conflictos y vivencias de cada uno se parecen pero nunca son iguales. Por eso las ciencias se ven a menudo impotentes cuando tienen que enfrentar la complejidad de las reacciones humanas, que representan un gran y escabroso misterio.

            Los fundadores de la Asociación de Alcohólicos Anónimos, dos cristianos adictos, convencidos de que solo podían lidiar con su adicción confiando en el poder superior de Dios en sus vidas, escribieron esta oración universal que no pasó mucho tiempo para que se usara para otras adicciones similares: Dios concédeme la serenidad para aceptar las cosas que no puedo cambiar, coraje para las que sí puedo, y sabiduría para conocer la diferencia.

            El único capaz de armar el rompecabezas de la vida de cada ser humano es Dios, un Dios que es Amor, ¡cuántos problemas tendrían solución si correspondemos amando, confiando que en  las cosas que somos impotentes para solucionar Dios actuará para bendecir nuestro obrar.

 

Oración: Padre de Amor, que el Espíritu Santo nos guíe por los caminos del amor auténtico para enfrentar los retos que sólo está en tus manos solucionar. En el nombre de Cristo Jesús. Amén.
