GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER

Matthew 22:15-22

…so give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.

Matthew 22:21b (NIV)

            Year after year we participate in drawing up the annual budget in our church. The tithe, that 10% of our labor, is an offering we all should gladly make, because it’s something insignificant within the bounty of  what God gives us daily in our lives. As much as it may pain us to make the tithe, the promise is that God will recompensate us for it.              

            It’s certain that the situation we now live in is quite difficult, that money doesn’t stretch far; but we should trust in the security that God will provide for us according to our needs. Let’s remember what Christ said, “Our Celestial Father knows you have needs.” Let us first give to God what is his, and afterwards to the world as according to our needs.   

            God’s work needs your help. Offer your tithe sacrifice gladly. It’s the least we can give to he who gives us everything, including his own Son.

 

Prayer: Lord, we ask you for all those who, in holy sacrifice to you, that you help them with their offerings to the sustenance of your work. We also ask for the men and women acting as treasurers in our churches. Amen.

DIOS AMA AL DADOR ALEGRE

Mateo 22:15-22

… y les dijo: Dad pues a Cesar lo que es de Cesar, y a dios lo que es de Dios.

            Año tras año participamos en la confección del presupuesto anual en nuestra Iglesia. El diezmo, ese 10% de nuestros haberes, es una entrega que todos deberíamos hacer con gusto, porque es algo insignificante dentro de lo mucho que Dios nos da a diario en nuestras vidas. Por mucho que nos duela extraerlo, la promesa es que Dios nos recompensará por ello.

            Es cierto que la situación que vivimos es bien difícil, que el dinero no alcanza. Pero debemos confiar en la seguridad de que Dios nos proveerá según nuestras necesidades. Recordemos que Cristo dijo: Nuestro Padre Celestial sabe que tenéis necesidad... Demos primero a Dios lo que es de Él y después al mundo lo que le pertenece de acuerdo a nuestras necesidades.

            La obra de Dios necesita de tu ayuda. Ofrécele en sacrificio agradable tu diezmo. ¿Qué menos podemos dar a quien nos da todo, incluso su propio Hijo?

 

Oración: Señor, te pedimos por todos aquellos que en sacrificio santo a ti, ayudan con sus ofrendas al sostenimiento de tu obra. Pedimos también por el trabajo de los tesoreros y tesoreras de nuestra Iglesia. Amén.
