FAITH THAT TRANSFORMS

Matthew 13:31-32

The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed…

Today we commemorate Protestant Reformation Day, a movement that arose in times of spiritual darkness and transformed the Christian faith. In the midst of the vicissitudes of our lives, let us remember that faith may start small, but it grows like the mustard seed. 

The Reformation taught us that genuine faith is that which is based on the Word of God and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. In challenging times such as ours, we must return to our roots of faith and remember that even a small faith can bring about significant change in our lives and society. Let us pray together, thanking God for the Protestant Reformation and for the faith that it has passed on to us.

 

Prayer: Lord, may we embrace this transforming faith and be agents of positive change in our nation, following the example of those who challenged the established norms in pursuit of a deeper and more authentic faith. Amen.

LA FE QUE TRANSFORMA

Hoy conmemoramos el Dia de la Reforma Protestante, un movimiento que surgió en tiempos de oscuridad espiritual y que transformó la fe cristiana. En medio de los avatares de nuestras vidas, recordemos que la fe puede comenzar pequeña, pero crecer como el grano de mostaza.

La Reforma nos enseñó que la fe genuina es aquella que se basa en la Palabra de Dios y en la obra redentora de Jesucristo. En tiempos desafiantes como los nuestros, debemos volver a nuestras raices de fe y recordar que incluso una fe pequeña puede traer un cambio significativo en nuestra vida y sociedad. Oremos juntos, agradeciendo a Dios por la Reforma Protestante y por la fe que nos ha transmitido.

 

Oración: Señor, permite que podamos abrazar esta fe transformadora y ser agentes de cambio positivo en nuestra nación, siguiendo el ejemplo de aquellos que desafiaron las normas establecidas en busca de una fe más profunda y auténtica. Amén.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 30th

HEALING AND DELIVERANCE

Luke 13:10-17

Then should not this woman…be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?

Luke 13:16b (NIV)

Jesus shows his compassion by healing the woman on the Sabbath. In the midst of our own limitations and sufferings, let us seek his healing and deliverance. We know that life can present challenges and limitations, both physical and spiritual. The story of the healed woman reminds us that God’s love and mercy are inexhaustible. He can restore our lives and free us from the chains that bind us. In times of need and affliction, let us draw near to Jesus in faith, knowing that his transformative power can change our lives.

 

Prayer: Lord, bring healing and deliverance to our lives and our nation. May your love and compassion be evident in the midst of our limitations, and may we experience your restoring grace in our lives. Amen.

SANIDAD Y LIBERACIÓN

Lucas 13:10-17

¿Acaso no se la debía desatar, aunque fuera sábado?

Lucas 13:16b

Jesús muestra su compasión al sanar a la mujer en el d ia de reposo. En medio de nuestras propias limitaciones y sufrimientos, busquemos su sanidad y liberación. Sabemos que la vida puede presentar desafios y limitaciones, tanto fisicas como espirituales. La historia de la mujer sanada nos recuerda que el amor y la misericordia de Dios son inagotables. Él puede restaurar nuestras vidas y liberarnos de las cadenas que nos atan. En tiempos de necesidad y aflicción, acerquémonos a Jesús con fe, sabiendo que su poder transformador puede cambiar nuestras vidas.

 

Oración: Señor, trae sanidad y liberación a nuestras vidas y a nuestra nación. Que tu amor y compasión sean evidentes en medio de nuestras limitaciones, y que podamos experimentar tu gracia restauradora en nuestras vidas. Amén.

Anniversary of the Presbyterian Reformed Church, “Santa Fe” (Sagua la Grande)

LOVING IN DIFFICULT TIMES

Matthew 22:34-40

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)

In the midst of the economic and social difficulties that we face, let us remember that to love God and neighbor is fundamental. At times, our brothers and sisters are going through difficult times and our own struggles can weigh us down.

However, the Lord calls us to love with our whole being. Loving God means trusting in his provision and guidance amid adversity. Loving our neighbor means being a light in the darkness of others’ difficulties.

Let us pray together that the Lord may strengthen us in this fundamental commandment: to love.

 

Prayer: Lord, may our love for you and our neighbor be unwavering, a balm amid the wounds, and a fountain of hope in difficult times. Amen.

Aniversario de la IPR “Santa Fe” (Sagua la Grande)

AMAR EN TIEMPOS DIFÍCILES

Mateo 22:34-40

Ama al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma y con toda tu mente. Este es el más importante de los mandamientos. Pero hay un segundo, parecido a este; dice:Ama a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.

Mateo 22:37-39

En medio de las dificultades económicas y sociales que enfrentamos, recordemos que amar a Dios y al prójimo es fundamental. En ocasiones, nuestros hermanos y hermanas pasan por momentos dificiles, y nuestras propias luchas pueden pesarnos.

Sin embargo, el Señor nos llama a amar con todo nuestro ser. Amar a Dios significa confiar en su provisión y gu ia en medio de las adversidades. Amar al prójimo significa ser una luz en la oscuridad de las dificultades ajenas.

Oremos juntos para que el Señor nos fortalezca en este mandamiento fundamental: amar.

Oración: Señor, que nuestro amor a ti y a nuestro prójimo sea inquebrantable, un bálsamo en medio de las heridas y una fuente de esperanza en tiempos dificiles. Amén.
