FILL US WITH YOUR MERCY, LORD!

Psalm 89

I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

Psalm 89:1 (NIV)

The incomparable God, who always upholds His eternal covenant with His sons and daughters, promises to always show us His love, His faithfulness, and His mercy. In the midst of our afflictions and despair, we can feel God’s presence sustaining our lives, and there is no greater joy than singing to Him about all His goodness, for His faithfulness remains steadfast at all times. Our Lord does not change; His mercy endures forever. Let us sing to Him forever!

We often think that when we have problems, complaining will ease our anxiety, but the opposite is actually true. Be happy, praise the Lord with gladness, for His mercy endures forever! “We have not one, but many mercies to rejoice in, and therefore we must multiply the expressions of our gratitude.” (Spurgeon) Let us trust in God, leave our burdens with Him, and be satisfied with His mercy, for even when the waves rise, the Lord will calm the storm. May our lives reflect how great and incomparable God’s faithfulness is to all who seek Him with their whole hearts.

Prayer: Eternal God, fill us with your infinite mercy; hear our cry in the midst of our afflictions and may we sing your praises and glorify you even in the midst of trials. Amen.

¡SÁCIANOS DE TU MISERICORDIA, SEÑOR!

Salmos 89

Por siempre cantaré de las misericordias del Señor; con mi boca daré a conocer tu fidelidad a todas las generaciones

Salmos 89:1

El Dios incomparable que siempre mantiene su pacto eterno con sus hijos e hijas, nos promete mostrarnos siempre su amor, su fidelidad y su misericordia. En medio de nuestras aflicciones y desesperanza podemos sentir la presencia de Dios, sosteniendo nuestras vidas, y no hay mayor gozo que cantarle por todas las bondades porque su fidelidad permanece firme en todo tiempo, nuestro Señor no cambia, su misericordia es para siempre. ¡Cantemos eternamente a Él!

Creemos a veces que cuando tenemos problemas, quejarnos hará que aliviemos nuestra ansiedad, y es todo lo contrario, ¡estén alegres, alaben al Señor con regocijo porque eterna es su misericordia! “No tenemos una, sino muchas misericordias en la que regocijarnos, y por tanto debemos multiplicar las expresiones de nuestra gratitud” (Spurgeon) Confiemos en Dios, dejemos nuestras cargas en Él, saciémonos de su misericordia porque aun cuando las olas se levanten, el Señor calmara la tempestad. Que nuestras vidas reflejen lo grande e incomparable que es la fidelidad de Dios para todos los que le buscan de corazón.

Oración: Dios eterno, sácianos de tu infinita misericordia, escucha nuestro clamor en medio de nuestras aflicciones y que podamos cantarte alabanzas y glorificarte aún en medio de la prueba. Amén.
