LIGHTEN
THE SHIP’S LOAD
ACTS
27:27-38
When
they had eaten as much as they wanted, they lightened the ship by throwing the
grain into the sea.
Acts
27:38
How
often have we been in situations without a possible solution, feeling like we
are drifting without a fixed route, having lost all hope?
In
the midst of a fast lasting many days, the promise of God’s salvation came in
the words from the Apostle Paul. God promises
salvation, but asked those who were on the ship to have courage, to do their
part by ridding themselves of the load of despair and selfishness. As a
response to his promise, they nourished themselves as they gave thanks to
God.
This
narrative teaches us that sharing encouragement meets our needs and motivates
us to lighten our load. God invites us to separate ourselves from whatever
represents an obstacle to being guided by hope in him.
Prayer: Lord, teach us to lighten our ships at just the
right time, when you demand our efforts. Amen.

ALIGERAR LA NAVE
HECHOS 27:27-38
dan gracias a Dios.
