IN PERFECT PEACE
ISAIAH 26:1-21
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast,
because he trusts in you,
Isaiah 26:3
This is one of God’s most beautiful promises. He
will guard us in perfect peace. Do you
know what this means? It is not simply
the mild calm that comes after the storm has passed us by. Nor is it even the knowledge felt after we’ve
completed a difficult task. It is PEACE
in capital letters, and it comes only from God.
That peace is experienced by those who persevere in
their thoughts on God. And it is not a matter of thinking about Him on Sunday,
or of remembering Him at certain times throughout our lives. It is a matter of
persevering in his Word, of knowing that although unpleasant or painful
situations such as death, sickness, depression, matrimonial or economic crises,
or unemployment may come, He is with us.
God wants us to be aware that even in moments at
which we collapse in pain and think that there is no solution, He will be there
to lift us up in his arms, not as a miraculous medicine, but as a constant
companion.
Let us trust in his will no matter our
situation. He loves us and will never
forsake us.
Prayer:
Thank you, my good and gracious God, for this beautiful
promise. Thank you for making us aware that we always have a strong rock in
you. Amen.

EN COMPLETA
PAZ
ISAÍAS 26:1-21
Tú guardarás en completa paz a aquel
cuyo pensamiento
en ti persevera; porque en ti ha
confiado
ti. Amén.
