ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE FOR THE ONE WHO HAS FAITH
MARK 9:14-27
Jesus said to him, “All things are possible for the one who has faith.”
Mark 9:23 (CEB)

At one point,  the Lord referred to faith in the following way as he spoke with his disciples:  If you had faith like a grain of mustard, you could say to this mountain: move from here to there; and it would happen; and nothing would be impossible for you…

Jesus never limited the power of faith.  With the same trust that he had when he faced an angry sea, he calmed the storm, and he confronted the demoniac who lived in the graves, and took the daughter of Jairus in his hands, healing her; here he confronted the spirit which had taken hold of the epileptic boy, whose father had brought him to be healed.  Jesus highlights the fact that the condition for the youth to be healed was not to be anything other than faith… all things are possible for the one who has faith.  This is to say that God requires us to have faith so that his power will be manifest in all of his splendor.  If we have faith, there are no barriers that can impede God’s work in a certain way in our lives.  We remember that faith is the certainty of that which we hope for, the conviction of things unseen.  A life of faith is that which hopes all things in the Lord, because all things are possible with Him.  It is natural, then, if we have faith, that a great inner peace fills all our being.

Prayer:  Good God, we know that without faith it is impossible to please you, and that through faith you can work powerfully in our lives.  Increase our faith. We ask it in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

AL QUE CREE TODO LE ES POSIBLE
MARCOS 9:14-27
