MY DAYS IN YOUR HANDS

ACTS 1:6-11

My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies,

from those who pursue me.

Psalm 31:15 (NIV)

The days and nights depend on the speed that the celestial bodies rotate on their axis in relation to their suns; but all time is God’s. The light and the darkness are in God’s hands and God made the heavens and the earth and all that is in them.  The Lord is the Lord of time.  But “my time” and “your time” are something else.  Our little time is measured in days and nights, in light and in darkness, that seem to be very short or very long according to the way we think about them.  Tell me if you truly think that your time, your days and your nights are in the hands of God.   Your time will be affected by the way you think about it.  If your time is truly in the hands of God, you will be too.  In one sense, you are time, and all you have is the time that remains for you to live and not what you have already lived;  although you think and act as if you could relive your time.  My time is in your hands, means that all I am and all I can be will be turned over to God and I trust God completely.  My time of anxiety is in your hands, is something you can say when your pain continues, and your pain and anxiety will be different.  My time is in your hands, is something you can say when happiness fills your life, and your happiness will be the joy of the Lord carried out in you.  Today I am going to put all my time into the generous and consoling hands of God. 

Prayer: Teach us, O God, to count our days in such a way that we bring knowledge to our hearts. Enable us to put our time and our days in your hands.  Amen.

MIS DIAS EN TUS MANOS

HECHOS 1:6-11

En tus manos están mis tiempos; líbrame de la mano

 de mis enemigos y de mis perseguidores

Salmo 31:15

Los días y las noches es asunto de la velocidad con que giren los cuerpos celestes sobre sus ejes en relación con sus soles; pero todo el tiempo es de Dios. Los luminares y las tinieblas están en sus manos y Él hizo los cielos y la tierra y todo lo que en ellos hay. El Señor es el Señor del tiempo. Pero “mis tiempos” y “tus tiempos”, es otra cosa. Son nuestros pequeños tiempos medidos en días y noches, en luces y tinieblas, que nos parecen muy cortos o largos, según el estado de nuestro ánimo al pensar en ellos. Dime si en verdad piensas que esos, tus tiempos, tus días y tus noches, están en las manos de Dios. Tu manera de pensar en ellos dará sabor y color a tus tiempos. Si tus tiempos están de verdad en las manos de Dios, tú también lo estás. En un sentido tú eres tiempo, y eres el tiempo que te queda por vivir solamente y no el que ya has vivido; aunque te haya modelado en esa forma que hoy tienes de pensar y actuar. En tus manos están mis tiempos, significa que todo lo que soy y puedo ser está entregado a Dios y me confío a Él completamente. Mis tiempos de angustia están en tus manos, puedes decir aun cuando tu dolor sigue presente y tu dolor y angustia serán distintos. Mis tiempos están en tus manos, puedes decir cuando la alegría llene tu vida, y tu alegría será el gozo del Señor cumplido en ti. Hoy voy a poner todos mis tiempos en las manos generosas y consoladoras de Dios

Oración: Enséñanos, oh Dios, de tal manera a contar nuestros días, que traigamos al corazón sabiduría. Haznos capaces de poner en tus manos nuestros tiempos y días. Amén.
