LOVE FOR US

ROMANS 8:33-39

Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—

is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Romans 8:34 (NIV)

A man was traveling for work. He made a long distance telephone call to his wife from his hotel.  After the call he went back to his room. The telephone rang again, and he answered it, thinking it was about another matter. But the operator said to him: “I thought that you would like to know that after you hung up, your wife said to you: I love you.”

We love these little details about love, going beyond the ordinary, showing that love does not have borders.

Consider God’s effort in showing his love for us. The best demonstration of his love was sending his Son in the flesh to show us a new, definitive way to live. It is his constant call to us to serve and work together to build his kingdom.

Jesus intercedes for us at God’s celestial throne. Every word and thought of ours He presents to God the Father and Mother of us all. He does this and much more because he loves us, and his works of love know no boundaries.

Prayer: God of goodness, thank you for Jesus’ abundant love. May my life constantly reflect that love to others. Amen.

AMOR POR NOSOTROS

ROMANOS 8:33-39

Cristo es quien murió; todavía más, quien resucitó,

Y está a la derecha de Dios, rogando por nosotros

Romanos 8:34

Un hombre se encontraba de viaje por asuntos laborales. Hizo una llamada de larga distancia a su esposa desde un teléfono del hotel donde estaba.  Después de haber concluido la llamada, fue a su habitación. El teléfono volvió  a sonar  y lo contestó, pensando que era algún otro asunto. Pero la operadora le dijo: “Pensé que le gustaría saber que después que usted colgó, su esposa le dijo: Te amo”.

Nos deleitamos en esos pequeños detalles de amor, yendo más allá, haciendo algo fuera de lo ordinario, mostrando que el amor no tiene fronteras.

Considere el esfuerzo de Dios en su muestra de amor por nosotros. La mejor muestra de su amor es haberse encarnado en su Hijo para mostrarnos una nueva y definitiva manera de vivir. Es el llamado constante que nos hace a servir y trabajar juntos y juntas en la construcción de su reino.

Jesús intercede por nosotros en el trono celestial de Dios. Cada palabra y pensamiento que elevamos al cielo, Él se lo presenta al Dios Padre y Madre de todos nosotros. Todo esto, y mucho más, porque nos ama, y sus obras de amor no tienen límites.

Oración: Dios de bondad, te doy gracias por el amor abundante  de Jesús. Permite que mi vida sea un reflejo constante de ese amor hacia los demás. Amén.
