IN GRATITUDE

Psalm 31:14-16

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials… (NIV)

James 1:2

            God asks us that we give him thanks for all the challenges in our lives. Although we don’t understand it, they are gifts he gives, opportunities to grow stronger and dependent on him.

            A majority of people think that the stronger they become the less dependent they will be. However, in his Kingdom strength and dependence go hand in hand. This is due the fact that we were designed to walk close to God while going through life. Difficult circumstances make our need for him stand out, and help us to trust in his infinite sufficiency.  

            We are blessed when the circumstances become more difficult and we confront them trusting in our Father. It is exhilarating to go through those challenges that we thought were too great for us. When we do so, depending more and more on the Lord, our relationship with him becomes stronger.

            Our success in managing difficulties also increases our sense of security. We gain confidence that together we can face whatever difficult times the future can bring us

 

Prayer: today Lord, I want to thank you for my weakness, for my problems, for my struggles. Thank you for your company and care. Amen.

EN AGRADECIMIENTO

Salmo 31:14-16

Hermanos míos, tened por sumo gozo cuando os halléis en diversas pruebas

Santiago 1:2

            Dios nos pide que le agradezcamos por todos los desafíos de nuestra vida. Aunque no lo entendamos, son regalos que nos hace, oportunidades para crecer  más fuertes y dependientes de Él.

            La mayoría de las personas piensan que mientras más fuertes se vuelven, menos dependientes serán. Sin embargo, en su Reino la fuerza y la dependencia van de la mano. Esto se debe  a que fuimos diseñados para caminar cerca de Dios mientras vamos por la vida. Las circunstancias difíciles hacen resaltar nuestra necesidad de Él y nos ayudan a confiar en su suficiencia infinita.

            Cuando las circunstancias se vuelvan más difíciles y las enfrentemos confiando en nuestro Padre, somos bendecidos. Resulta vivificante atravesar aquellos retos que pensábamos eran demasiado grandes para nosotros. Cuando lo hacemos dependiendo más y más del Señor, nuestra relación con Él se torna más fuerte.

            Nuestro éxito en el manejo de las dificultades también aumenta nuestro sentido de seguridad. Ganamos confianza de que,  juntos, podemos hacerle frente a cualquier tiempo difícil que el futuro nos pueda traer.

 

Oración: Hoy Señor, quiero agradecerte por mi debilidad, por mis problemas, por mis luchas. Gracias por tu compañía y cuidado. Amén.
