SEEKING

2 Chronicles 26:5

Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his presence continually.

1 Chronicles 16:11 (NRSV)

            What will be the key to achieving a full life? Making more time for prayer? Doing more things for God? Fixing yourself on big objectives? Accomplishing great works? These are activities that we followers of Jesus have to do in our daily life as a consequence of living in fulness. That’s for sure, but it is neither the cause nor the origin of what we need. Then, what’s the secret? How does one achieve a life filled with blessings and triumphs?

            Blessing and success follow as a result of searching continually for God in every stage of life; that means:

1.         Acknowledging our reality. Thinking about the situation in which we find ourselves in our relationship with God and things as they really are.

2.         Abandoning self-sufficiency, that attitude in which people believe that they can achieve whatever they want without God’s help.

3.         Keeping time apart for talking with God in prayer and reading the Bible every day.

4.         Keeping a permanent communication with our Creator open to express our thoughts, feelings, and decisions.

            The great goal which we hold as Christians is  always seeking God. God seeks us every day wanting to develop a personal relation with us.

 

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being so good. Surround me with your presence. Help me every time to feel more strongly the need to seek you with all my soul. Amen.

BUSCAR

2 Cronicas 26:5

Buscad a Jehová y su poder, buscad su rostro continuamente

1 Crónicas 16:11

            ¿Cuál será la clave para alcanzar una vida plena? ¿Será dedicarle más tiempo a la oración? ¿Consistirá en hacer más cosas para Dios? ¿Será fijarnos en grandes objetivos? ¿Realizar  grandes obras? Estas son actividades que los seguidores de Jesús debemos realizar en nuestra vida cotidiana como consecuencia de vivir en plenitud. Es cierto. Pero no está ahí la causa ni el origen de lo que necesitamos. Entonces: ¿Dónde estará el secreto? ¿Cómo alcanzar una vida de bendiciones y triunfos?

            La bendición y el éxito llegarán como resultado de buscar continuamente a Dios en cada etapa de la vida, lo cual significa:

1.         Darnos cuenta de nuestra realidad. Pensar en la situación en que nos encontramos en nuestra relación con Dios y ver las cosas como son en realidad.

2.         Abandonar la autosuficiencia, esa actitud de quienes creen que pueden lograr todo lo que se proponen sin la ayuda de Dios.

3.         Separar tiempo para hablar con Dios en oración y leer la Biblia cada día.

4.         Tener una comunicación permanente con nuestro Creador para expresarle nuestros pensamientos, sentimientos y decisiones.

            La gran tarea que tenemos como cristianos es buscar a Dios siempre. Él nos busca cada día, porque quiere desarrollar una relación personal con nosotros.

 

Oración: Gracias Señor, por ser tan bueno. Rodéame con tu presencia. Ayúdame  a sentir cada vez más fuerte la necesidad de buscarte con toda mi alma. Amén.
