RIGHT ON TIME

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.

            Sometimes we think that God keeps silence in the face of life’s difficulties, that God doesn’t come when we most need him, and that sometimes he leaves us alone when we are at our wits’ end, or that he arrives too late. But we should know that God arrives right on time, not early or late. He comes when it is best for us, at the appropriate time, because he knows what and when is best for us. It is not that he doesn’t want to help us, nor that he is late in responding. Often the Lord works in silence, teaching us to be patient and trusting in him. But we, in our desperation and impatience, because we don’t know God’s time, lose faith and forget that he never leaves us alone, and that his response has always arrived at the right moment, once he has taught us what we need to know. Everything that happens in our lives has a purpose. So we must be patient and trust in God’s times.

            As today’s text says, we are “like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream.” (17:8)  The stream is God. It makes no difference what difficulties we face today, because we have by our side the fount of living water. We will always have hope.

            God does not arrive late but comes when it is right to come           and in a better way than our minds are capable of imagining.

 

Prayer: You are my God, perfect and supernatural. Thank you for being in my life. Thank you for your marvels. Amen.

JUSTO A TIEMPO

Jeremías 17:7-8

Bendito el hombre que coloca toda su confianza en Dios…

Jeremías 17:7

            A veces pensamos que Dios guarda silencio antes las dificultades de la vida, que no llega cuando uno más lo necesita, y que a veces nos deja solos cuando nosotros no podemos más, o que llega muy tarde. Pero debemos saber que Dios llega justo a tiempo, ni antes ni después. Llega cuando es mejor para nosotros, en el momento indicado, porque Él sabe qué, cuándo y cómo es lo mejor para nosotros. No es que no quiera ayudarnos, ni que tarda en responder. El Señor  muchas veces obra en silencio, nos enseña a ser pacientes, a confiar en Él. Pero nosotros en nuestra desesperación e impaciencia, por no saber esperar los tiempos de Dios, perdemos la fe y nos olvidamos de que Él nunca nos deja solos, y su respuesta siempre ha llegado en el momento justo, una vez que nos ha enseñado lo que necesitábamos aprender. Cada cosa que sucede en nuestra vida tiene un propósito. Por eso debemos ser pacientes y confiar en Sus tiempos.

            Seamos como dice el texto de hoy: un árbol junto al río. El río es Dios. No importa cuántas dificultades tengamos hoy, porque tenemos a nuestro lado a la fuente de agua viva. Siempre tendremos esperanza.

            Dios no llega tarde, llega cuando es justo llegar, y de la mejor manera que nuestra mente es incapaz de imaginar.

 

Oración: Tú eres mi Dios perfecto, sobrenatural. Gracias por estar en mi vida. Gracias por tus maravillas. Amén.
