GUARANTEE OF HIS PRESE3NCE

Exodus 33:14

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. (NIV)

Isaiah 55:8

            Wherever we may be, wherever we may go, God will be with us. This is a surprising declaration, but very certain. 

            His invisible presence is more real than the people who surround us. However, we have to see him with the heart’s eyes, and communicate with him through prayer, trusting in that, in truth, he really listens to us and is concerned about us.

            It’s totally a guarantee that our prayers are decisive, and that the Lord answers them, although not always in the manner in which we can see, nor in the time in which we would desire. In his sovereign government, our Celestial Father takes into account prayers in ways too complex for our finite mind to understand, since the heavens are higher than the earth, so too are his thoughts much higher than ours.

            Given that his methods of working in the world are at times so mysterious for us, it’s important that we set aside time to be with him. If we do so regularly, he will give us rest.

 

Prayer: I need rest for my soul, Lord. Thank you for your presence, thank you for everything that you do in my life, although at times I don’t understand it. Amen.

GARANTIA DE SU PRESENCIA

Exodo 33:14

Porque mis pensamientos no son vuestros pensamientos, ni vuestros caminos mis caminos, dijo Jehová

Isaías 55:8

            Donde quiera que estemos, donde quiera que vayamos, Dios estará con nosotros. Esta es una declaración sorprendente, pero muy cierta.

            Su presencia invisible es más real que la gente que nos rodea. Sin embargo, debemos verlo con los ojos del corazón y comunicarnos con Él a través de la oración, confiando en que de verdad nos escucha y se preocupa por nosotros.

            Es totalmente una garantía de que nuestras oraciones son determinantes, y de que el Señor las contesta, aunque no siempre de manera en que lo podamos ver ni en el tiempo en que desearíamos. Nuestro Padre Celestial tiene en cuenta las oraciones, en su gobierno soberano, de formas demasiado complejas para que nuestra mente finita las pueda comprender, pues asíí como los cielos son más altos que la tierra, así son sus pensamientos más altos que los nuestros.

            Debido  a que sus métodos de obrar en el mundo son a menudo tan misteriosos para nosotros, es importante que apartemos un tiempo para estar junto a Él. Si lo hacemos de manera regular, Él nos hará descansar.

 

Oración: Necesito reposo para mi alma, Señor. Gracias por tu presencia, gracias por todo lo que haces en  mi vida, aunque a veces no lo entienda. Amén.
