O GREAT JOY

Romans 12:1

He said to me, “My grace is enough for you…”

2 Corinthians 12:9a (CEB

            When we start out the day or begin a task with low energy, let’s remember that the Lord says to us:  My grace is enough for you.

            God is saying to us today that we should not waste our energy lamenting over how weak  we might feel. Instead, let us embrace our insufficiency, cheering ourselves because God helps us and makes us realize how much we need him.

             As we continue in a task showing a joyful dependence on our God, we will be surprised to see how much we can produce. Also, the quality of our work will be better to a large degree through working together.

            Let us think on the somber privilege of living and working at the side of our Heavenly Father, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Let us try to align ourselves with his will, making ourselves into a living sacrifice. This will give our life meaning and will be a small preview of the great, glorious and indescribable joy that awaits us in God’s presence.

 

Prayer: Lord, remove from us all sadness and apathy. Cultivate in us the gratitude for that which we do, for our work.  Allow us to do everything with great gratitude. Amen.

OH GOZO INMENSO

Romanos 12:1

Y me ha dicho: Bástate mi gracia…

2 Corintios 12:9a

            Cuando al comenzar el día o al iniciar una tarea nos sintamos con poco ánimo, recordemos que el Señor nos dice: Bástate mi gracia.

            Dios nos está diciendo hoy que no malgastemos nuestra energía lamentándonos por lo débiles que podamos sentirnos. En lugar de ello, abracemos nuestra insuficiencia, alegrándonos de que Él nos ayude a darnos cuenta de cuánto le necesitamos.

             A medida que avanzamos en alguna tarea mostrando una gozosa dependencia de nuestro Dios, nos sorprenderemos al ver cuánto podemos realizar. Incluso la calidad de nuestro trabajo será mejor en gran medida por medio de trabajar juntos.

            Pensemos en el asombroso privilegio de vivir y trabajar al lado de nuestro Padre Celestial, el Rey de Reyes y Señor de Señores. Tratemos de alinearnos con su voluntad, haciendo de nosotros mismos un sacrificio vivo. Esto hará que nuestra vida tenga sentido y será un pequeño anticipo del gozo inmenso, glorioso e indescriptible que nos espera en su presencia.

 

Oración: Señor, quita de nosotros toda tristeza y apatía. Cultiva en nosotros la gratitud hacia lo que hacemos, hacia nuestro trabajo. Permite que cada cosa que emprendamos, lo hagamos con sumo agrado. Amén.
