UTMOST CONFIDENCE

Psalm 40:4

And you will have confidence, because there is hope; you will be protected and take your rest in safety.  You will lie down, and no one will make you afraid; many will entreat your favor.

Job 11:18-19 (NRSV)

            Never lose faith in God.

            People are quickly disillusioned and give up. Sometimes, they don’t even wait long enough to realize that the problems are not as serious as they first appeared, and thus they drown in a sea of anxieties, worries, and nerves.

            If we have faith in Jesus, one of the visible characteristics of our lives will be hope, that ability that is cultivated and develops over the passage of years. Inseparable companion of faith, hope is activated when the outlook turns dark and lacks the possibility of success. It is then that it unfolds its power to sustain the spirit of those who decide to put it into practice.

            We must have hope for our future, for our country, and believe that God will help us to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves.

            Hope gives us enthusiasm and energy to live to the fullest and to share the love of Jesus with all those around us. Only those who have hope can enjoy a full life.

 

Prayer: Lord, when there are times in my life that cause me to lose faith in you, that is when I ask you most to sustain me. Never let me fall. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

CONFIANZA EXTREMA

Salmo 40:4

Tendrás confianza, porque hay esperanza; mirarás alrededor, y dormirás seguro. Te acostarás, y no habrá quien te espante, y muchos suplicarán tu favor.

Job 11:18-19

            Nunca perdamos la confianza en Dios.

            La gente se desilusiona rápidamente  y se da por vencida. A veces ni siquiera aguarda lo suficiente como para darse cuenta de que los problemas no son tan serios como parecían al principio, y entonces se ahogan en un mar de ansiedades, preocupaciones y nervios.

            Si confiamos en Jesús, una de las características visibles de nuestra vida será la esperanza, esa capacidad que se cultiva y desarrolla a lo largo de los años. Compañera inseparable de la fe, se activa cuando el panorama se torna oscuro y sin probabilidades de éxito. Es entonces cuando despliega su poder para sostener el espíritu de quienes deciden ponerla en práctica.

            Debemos tener esperanza acerca de nuestro futuro, de nuestro país, y creer que Dios nos ayudará a lograr los objetivos que nos hayamos propuesto.

            La esperanza nos dará  entusiasmo y energía para vivir al máximo y compartir el amor de Jesús con todos los que nos rodean. Solo quienes tengan esperanza podrán disfrutar una vida plena. 

 

Oración: Oh Señor, cuando tenga momentos en mi vida en que me falte confianza en ti, es cuando más te pido que me sostengas. No me dejes caer nunca. Por Jesús te lo pido, amén.
