HERE IS OUR GOD

Isaiah  40:1-12

The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God will stand forever.

Isaiah 40:8 (NRSV)

            Difficult moments appear in the lives of all humans that weaken our faith and hope in God. Such an experience can either make our spiritual life grow or destroy it. We must be convinced that we are not alone, and that God is in our midst, always present

            This passage from the  prophet Isaiah tells us about the difficult situation that the people of Israel went through in the captivity in Babylon. It was a hard time of trials but in the end, God always frees and helps his people, even in the worst situations

            Console my people…, such is the message. Amid their tribulations, we must be comforters to the people who need us most, spiritually accompanying them. God is infinite mercy and accompanies us in the difficulties that life presents us. Let us seek God through prayer: a tool to have a true communion with our Lord. Let us turn to discernment and discover God’s will by reading the Bible. The prophets were persecuted but helped and sustained by God. We keep our hope in that great God who, as a good Shepard, feeds his flock.

 

Prayer: God of love and mercy, we give you our infinite thanks for your constant presence in our lives, especially during our problems. Give us strength when we are weak, and when we think we are strong, make us depend on you. We ask for your constant help, confident always  in your power and company. Through Jesus Christ, our savior. Amen

AQUI ESTÁ NUESTRO DIOS

Isaias  40:1-12

Sécase la hierba, marchítase la flor; mas la palabra de Dios permanece para siempre

Isaías 40:8

            En las vidas de todos los seres humanos suelen aparecer momentos difíciles que hacen que nuestra fe y esperanza en Dios se debilite. Una confrontación puede hacer crecer nuestra vida espiritual o destruirla. Debemos estar convencidos que no estamos solos y que Dios está en medio nuestro, él está presente siempre.

            Este pasaje del profeta Isaías nos habla de la situación difícil que atravesó el pueblo de Israel en su cautiverio en Babilonia, tiempo duro de pruebas, pero al final Dios siempre libera y ayuda a su pueblo, aún en las peores situaciones.

            Consolad a mi pueblo…, tal es el mensaje; debemos ser consoladores, acompañando espiritualmente a las personas que más nos necesitan en medio de sus tribulaciones. Dios es misericordia infinita y nos acompaña en medio de las dificultades que nos presenta la vida. Busquemos a Dios por medio de la oración, herramienta para tener una verdadera comunión con nuestro Señor. Acudamos al discernimiento y descubramos cuál es la voluntad de Dios mediante la lectura de la Biblia. Los profetas fueron perseguidos, pero ayudados y sustentados por Dios. Mantenemos nuestra esperanza en ese Dios tan grande que tenemos y que como buen pastor apacienta su rebaño.

 

Oración: Dios de amor y misericordia, infinitas gracias te damos por tu presencia constante en nuestras vidas, en especial en medio de nuestros problemas. Danos la fuerza cuando somos débiles, y cuando nos creemos fuertes haznos depender de ti. Te pedimos tu ayuda constante, confiamos siempre en tu poder y compañía. Por Cristo Jesús nuestro Salvador.
