LET US BE GRATEFUL CHRISTIANS

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-24

Give thanks in every situation because this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (CEB)

            If the pandemic left us anything positive, it was the fact that we feel more grateful for life. We were truly grateful for every dawn because we had health and because we had survived one more day of isolation. Our true faith was maintained in the midst of so many fears and uncertainties. But if anything has always characterized Christians it is feeling grateful to God for God’s accompaniment, for God’s blessings, and for all the good that happens in our lives.

            To pay attention to the positive aspects of all that we experience as human beings, always holding onto the good, and giving thanks to God is the stronghold of a true Spirit full of joy and gratitude. Thus we give thanks to God today and always for life, for family, for our church, for having a job, for putting something to eat on our table, for neighbors who are the neighborhood family, for health and for the joys that God has brought into our lives.

 

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for the happy times, for each one of the blessings that you have given us. Thank you for the sadness that has taught us and filled us with wisdom. Thank you for filling us with wisdom. Thank you for filling us with strength in the most difficult times. Thank you for always caring for us. Amen.

SEAMOS CRISTIANOS AGRADECIDOS

1 Tesalonicenses 5: 16-24

Den gracias a Dios por todo, porque esto es lo que él quiere de ustedes como creyentes en Cristo Jesús.

1 Tesalonicenses 5:18

            Si alguna pauta nos dejó la pandemia fue el hecho de sentirnos agradecidos por la vida. Cada amanecer se convirtió en verdadera gratitud porque teníamos salud y porque habíamos sobrevivido un día más de aislamiento. Nuestra verdadera fe se mantuvo en medio de tantos miedos e incertidumbres. Pero si algo siempre ha caracterizado a los cristianos y cristianas es el sentirnos agradecidos a Dios por su compañía, por sus bendiciones, por todo lo bueno que nos pasa en nuestras vidas.

            Poner nuestra atención a los aspectos positivos de todo lo que experimentamos como seres humanos, retener lo bueno siempre, y dar gracias a Dios, es la fortaleza de un verdadero Espíritu lleno de gozo y gratitud. Así que demos hoy y siempre gracias a Dios por la vida, por la familia, por nuestra iglesia, por tener trabajo, por poner algo de comer en nuestra mesa, por los vecinos que son la familia del barrio, por la salud, y por las alegrías que ha traído a nuestras vidas.

 

Oración: Gracias Señor por los momentos felices, por cada una de las bendiciones que nos has dado. Gracias por las tristezas que nos han enseñado y llenado de sabiduría. Gracias por llenarnos de fortaleza en los momentos más difíciles. Gracias por cuidarnos siempre. Amén.
