I BELIEVE IT IS COURAGEOUS

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (NIV)

Joshua 1:9

            It’s been for some days that I have not felt well. The duties of daily life, added to the consequences of the coronavirus were taking a toll on my body. I didn’t feel like doing anything, and even so I needed to do things, my family being dependent upon me.

            A friend brought me a poem that truly struck my heartstrings and was a great help to me. Today I want to share it with you:

 

            I believe it’s courageous

 

I believe it’s courageous

that you should get up in the morning,

even if your soul is weary

and your bones ache for a rest.

 

I believe it’s courageous

that you continue living,

even if you’re not sure how to do it.

 

I believe it’s courageous

that you push against the waves every day

and decide to fight.

 

I know there are days in which you have the desire to give up,

but I believe it is courageous

that you never do.

 

Prayer: Lord, give me the necessary strengths to continue. Amen.

CREO QUE ES VALIENTE

Mira que te mando que te esfuerces y seas valiente

Josué 1:9

 

            Hacía muchos días que no me sentía bien. Las cargas de la vida diaria, sumadas a las secuelas del coronavirus estaban pasando factura en mi cuerpo. Me sentía sin ganas de hacer nada, y aun así, tenía que hacer las cosas, mi familia dependía de mí.

            Un amigo me hizo llegar un poema que verdaderamente tocó las fibras de mi corazón y fue de mucha ayuda. Hoy quiero compartirlo con ustedes:

 

Creo que es valiente

 

Creo que es valiente

Que te levantes por la mañana.

Incluso si tu alma está cansada

Y tus huesos duelen por un descanso

 

Creo que es valiente

Que sigas viviendo, incluso, si ya no sabes cómo hacerlo

 

Creo que es valiente

Que empujes las olas cada día

Y decidas luchar

 

Sé que hay días en los que tienes ganas de rendirte

Pero creo que es valiente

Que nunca lo hagas

Oración: Señor, dame las fuerzas necesarias para continuar. Amén.
