SIMPLE BLESSINGS

Psalm 121

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:2

            How nice it would be if we all saw the light instead of the shadows!

            This helps me think about how wonderful life is. Sometimes we forget about the blessings we receive and always think about the adversities we face day by day.

            We are prone to remember illnesses, financial problems and other worries.

            God is merciful and showers upon us his blessings even though they may be little recognized. Think for example of the beauty of a flower, a tree with its fruits, the smile of a child etc.

            Why do we insist on looking at the shadows?

            Seek blessings, acknowledge them and enjoy each one.

 

Prayer: Teach us, Lord, to see your blessings each day.

BENDICIONES SENCILLAS

Salmo 121

Mi ayuda vendrá del Señor, creador del cielo y de la tierra.

Salmo 121:2

            ¡Qué bueno sería si todos viéramos la luz en vez de las sombras!

            Esto me ayuda a pensar acerca de lo maravillosa que es la vida. A veces nos olvidamos de las bendiciones que recibimos y siempre pensamos en las adversidades que día a día enfrentamos.

            Somos dados a recordar enfermedades, problemas económicos y otras preocupaciones.

            Dios es misericordioso y derrama sobre nosotros sus bendiciones aunque pueden ser poco reconocidas. Piense por ejemplo en la belleza de una flor, un árbol con sus frutos, la sonrisa de un niño etc.

            ¿Por qué insistimos en mirar las sombras?

            Busca las bendiciones, reconócelas y disfruta cada una de ellas.

 

Oración: Enséñanos, Señor, a ver tus bendiciones cada día. Amén.
