Anniversary of the Cabaiguán Presbyterian Church

PROMISES BEFORE ADVERSITY

            Sometimes the problems are so many that we feel there is no escape.  But the Psalms are a fountain of certainties about what God has promised:

But you, Lord, are my shield, you are my glory, you are the one who restores me.

Psalm 3:3 (CEB)

The Lord is my solid rock, my fortress, my rescuer, my God is my rock—I take refuge in him!—he’s my shield, my salvation’s strength, my place of safety.

Psalm 18:2 (CEB)

 

The Lord is my strength and my shield.  My heart trusts him.  I was helped, my heart rejoiced, and I thank him with my song.

Psalm 28:7 (CEB)

 

You are my shelter and my shield—I wait for your promise.

Psalm 119:114 (CEB)

 

God is my loyal one, my fortress, my place of safety, my rescuer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, and the one who subdues people before me.

Psalm 144:2 (CEB)

 

 

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for the promises found in the Bible.  Guide us to read them more often, sure that there we will find knowledge and grace in abundance. Amen.

Aniversario  de la IPR de Cabaiguán

PROMESAS ANTE LA ADVERSIDAD

 

            A veces los problemas son tantos que sentimos que no hay escapatoria. Pero los Salmos son una fuente de certezas acerca de lo que Dios ha prometido:

Más tú, Oh Señor, eres escudo en derredor mío, mi gloria, y el que levanta mi cabeza

Salmo 3:3

El Señor es mi roca, mi baluarte y mi libertador; mi Dios, mi roca en quien me refugio; mi escudo y el cuerno de mi salvación, mi altura inexpugnable

Salmo 18:2

 El Señor es mi fuerza y mi escudo; en Él confía mi corazón, y soy socorrido; por tanto, mi corazón se regocija, y le daré gracias con mi cántico

Salmo 28:7

Tú eres mi escondedero y mi escudo; en tu palabra espero

Salmo 119:114

Misericordia mía y fortaleza mía, mi baluarte y mi libertador, escudo mío en quien me he refugiado, el que sujeta a mi pueblo debajo de mí

Salmo 144:2

 

Oración: Gracias Señor, por las promesas encontradas en la Biblia. Aliéntanos a leerla con más frecuencia, seguros de que allí encontraremos sabiduría y gracia en abundancia. Amén.
