Anniversary of the Church “Dora Valentín” (Varadero)

Luke 9:1-6

Then he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Luke 9:2 (NIV)

“There is power, power, wonder-working power…”, so says the hymn that we sing in our congregations, the question should be: Power? For what?

Jesus gives us the power to heal, to announce His Kingdom and it is the power to empower others. Being able to heal not only diseases of the flesh, but also diseases of the soul, social diseases, those that go against the manifestation of the Kingdom on our Earth. We have an incomparable power, and it is the power of God’s love, with this love we are able to reach any person, even those who do not wish us well or do not understand us. Let us use the power that God gives us, to continue planting good around us, continue sowing hope, continue building the Kingdom of truth and justice.

 

Prayer: Lord, give us the power of love, understanding, and kindness to reach out to those around us. Amen.

Aniversario de la Iglesia “Dora Valentín” (Varadero)

Lucas 9:1-6

Entonces los envió a predicar el reino de Dios y a sanar a los enfermos.

“ Hay poder, poder, sin igual poder.... “ así dice un himno que cantamos en nuestras congregaciones, la pregunta sería ¿poder, para que?

Jesús nos da el poder de sanar, de anunciar su Reino y es un poder para empoderar a otras personas. Poder para sanar no solo enfermedades del cuerpo, sino también enfermedades del alma, enfermedades sociales, aquellas que van contra la manifestación del Reino en nuestra tierra. Tenemos un poder inigualable y es el poder de amor de Dios, con este amor podemos llegar a cualquier persona, incluso a aquellas que no nos quieran bien o no nos entiendan. Usemos el poder que Dios nos da, para seguir plantando el bien a nuestro alrededor, seguir sembrando esperanza, seguir construyendo un Reino de verdad y justicia.

 

Oración: Señor, danos el poder del amor, de la comprensión, de la bondad, para llegar a quienes nos rodean. Amén
