WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DOUBT?

Matthew 16:21-17

For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.

Matthew 16:25 (NRSV)

If we read this passage, we will have to check ourselves to remember when we think that we can do this or that, when we have sought an excuse for not doing something that we think impossible or laborious.

When we know that in God all that we do, making plans and fulfilling, them will always be possible if we have faith in God.

Peter thought of Jesus, as a friend, a possible King; we don't know what his concern was. We have to consider that, with our eyes on Jesus Christ, we can achieve everything.

A few years ago, almost no church in the country thought it could serve the vulnerable or elderly permanently. Today we have a lot of churches providing breakfast, lunch, washing and mending of clothes, and all has been done with faith and involving many people in the church. In times of the greatest scarcity, unexpected doors have opened for our aid projects. There is the powerful hand of the merciful God.

God walks with his people when they do aid projects for their neighbors.

We will gain our life, if we lose it in service of the lord of life.

 

Prayer: Lord, teach us, increase our faith so that our plans may be yours. In your name. Amen.

¿QUÉ PASA CUANDO DUDAMOS?

Mateo 16:21-17

Porque todo el que quiera salvar su vida la perderá y todo el que pierda su vida por causa de mi, la hallara.

Mateo 16:25

Si leemos este pasaje, tendremos que revisarnos para recordar cuando pensamos que no podremos hacer esto o aquello, cuando hemos buscado una excusa para no hacer lo que consideramos imposible o trabajoso.

Cuando sabemos que en Dios todo lo podemos, hacer planes y cumplirlos, siempre será posible si confiamos en Dios.

Pedro pensó en Jesús, el amigo, el posible Rey, no sabemos cuál fue su preocupación. Nosotros tenemos que considerar que, puesto los ojos en Jesucristo, todo lo podemos alcanzar.

Hace unos años, casi ninguna iglesia en el pais pensaba que podia servir a personas vulnerables o ancianos permanentemente. Hoy tenemos muchas iglesias dando desayunos, almuerzos, lavando y cosiendo ropas, y todo ha sido con fe e involucrando a muchas personas de la iglesia. En momentos de más escaseces, se han abierto puertas inesperadas para nuestros proyectos de ayuda. Ahi esta la mano poderosa de Diosmisericordioso.

Dios va con su pueblo cuando hace proyectos de ayuda hacia el prójimo.

Ganaremos nuestra vida si la perdemos a causa del Señor de la vida.

 

Oración: Enséñanos Señor, aumenta nuestra fe, para que nuestros planes sean tuyos. En tu nombre. Amén.
