Let that little light shine

Luke 8:16-18

No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.

What makes us feel proud? What must we not fail to show? What should we light so that others “can see the light”?

There is nothing better than knowing who we are, what we are like, and what we want to do with that. It gives us a guarantee to be able to share, contribute, collaborate, and illuminate the path of others. And this is not with a feeling of superiority or self-sufficiency, but rather with the certainty that if we follow the ethical proposal of Jesus, we can be good human beings, capable of enriching the lives of other human beings.

It doesn’t matter the situations we face, the difficult moments that we are faced with, the misunderstandings or pressures; we must always be able to raise up and show all the good that we have inside to share with others.

 

Prayer: Our God, always let your light shine through our actions, our words, and our thoughts. Amen.

 

 

LUNES, 25 DE SEPTIEMBRE

Esa pequeña luz la dejare brillar

Lucas 8:16-18

Nadie enciende una lámpara para después cubrirla con una vasija o ponerla debajo de la cama, sino para ponerla en una repisa, a fin de que los que entren tengan luz

¿De qué sentimos orgullo?¿Qué no debemos dejar de mostrar?¿ Qué debemos encender para que otros “tengan luz”?

No hay nada mejor que saber quiénes somos, cómo somos y qué queremos hacer con eso. Nos da garantías para poder compartir, aportar, colaborar, iluminar el camino de otras y otros, y no con un sentimiento de superioridad o autosuficiencia, sino con la certeza de que si seguimos la propuesta ética de Jesús, podemos ser seres humanos de bien, capaces de enriquecer la vida de otros seres humanos.

No importa las situaciones que enfrentemos, los momentos difíciles a las que nos enfrentemos, las incomprensiones o presiones, debemos ser siempre capaces de poner en alto y mostrar todo lo bueno que tenemos dentro para compartir con otras y otros.

 

Oración: Dios nuestro, permite siempre que tu luz brille a través de nuestras acciones, nuestras palabras y nuestros pensamientos. Amén
