FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th

True Christians?

John 1: 47-51

Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.

John 1: 47b (NIV)

Have you ever thought about how God would describe us?

What adjectives would you use to talk about each of us? Could you say, “there you have one true Christian, in whom there is no falsehood?”

We are not talking about perfection, we are talking about honesty, about having a life without falsehood. The path of the Christian faith is the path of transformation, of getting closer and closer to the true essence of God’s love. In our lives it should be a daily routine to be honest, to act justly, to show kindness, to grow spiritually, and to always try to be better human beings. And it should be so normal that it surprises us when someone recognizes all these qualities in us.

We are able to see great things in our lives, if they are full of good.

 

Prayer: Our God, fill us with honesty and kindness in every small daily act. Amen.

¿Verdaderamente Cristianos?

Juan 1: 47-51

Aquí tienen a un verdadero israelita, en quien no hay falsedad

Se han puesto a pensar ¿Cómo Dios nos describiría?

¿Qué adjetivos utilizaría para hablar de cada una, cada uno de nosotros y nosotras? ¿Podría decir “ ahí tienen a un verdadero cristiano, en quien no hay falsedad”?

No hablamos de perfección, hablamos de honestidad, de tener una vida sin falsedad. El camino de la fe cristiana, es el camino de transformación , de acercarnos cada vez más a la verdadera esencia del amor de Dios. En nuestra vida debe ser cotidiano ser honesto, actuar con justicia, mostrar bondad, crecer espiritualmente, intentar todo el tiempo ser mejores seres humanos. Y debe ser tan normal, que nos sorprenda cuando alguien reconoce todas esas cualidades en nosotras y nosotros.

Grandes cosas podremos ver en nuestras vidas, si estas están llenas del bien.

Oración: Dios nuestro, llénanos de honestidad y bondad en cada pequeño acto cotidiano. Amén.
